We booked jan 24th thru 26th. On monday when we got back into the hotel at around 1130pm, we weren’t able to access our room with the key card so we had to walk to the front desk to find out what was going on. We we’re ordered to pack and leave immediately due to an issue with the water. I thought something seemed strange earlier as we we’re rolling thru the parking lot on our snowmachines and the lot was almost vacant. In the morning when we left for the trails, the hotel was busy with approx 30 snowmonliers in the lot and sleds buzzing around everywhere. We we’re exausted from our ride, completely fatigued from an evening of getting beat up from bumpy trails and it was snowing, with snow covered roads and we had to pack our room, load our trailers and hit the road to find another place. The morons that the management placed at the front desk offered bo symapthy or aby information to help us find lodging in an remote area that didnt have anything available for us. We had to drive 45miles south in a snowstorm fatigued and feeling betrayed and we ended up going home. What kind of place does this? Im never going back to Watersmeet Mi or Gogebic Co.anymore.the trails sucked and 50percent of the places we stopped were run by assholes who didnt even care that we were there. Screw that.

Went here just because I couldn’t find another motel room in the area. Seriously, like within 40 miles. Price actually wasn’t bad(I was there on a weekday – weekend prices are higher). Room was reasonably comfortable, clean. However, while you can get wi-fi in the lobby, it doesn’t work in the rooms.(Do they think you’re going to cheat them out of pay-per-view $$ by streaming your own movies???). Not a good place to be if you have to take some work along on vacation. The casino was… well, a small casino in remote place. Actually was less smoky than some downstate casinos I’ve been in. Of course, I’m not much of a gambler anyway. I spun away my complimentary $ 5 free play coupon and called it a night. Not bad as a higher end economy motel. Should you fancy yourself a high roller and want digs appropriate to that status, not your place.

If you join their club you get crazy deals like $ 1 drinks all night. The casino itself is pretty small, but they have every game you’d want. The employees at the tables are kind of A-Holes, which is surprising considering this place is never really packed. The employees serving drinks were very nice, however. This is a fun stop when you’re way up north, but I’d rather give my money to the state I live in.

Motel price is cheap but our nonsmoking room had an awful smell. There are no hair dryers in the room. When I asked for one at the desk I was told sorry, they’re all given out! Who thinks to bring a hair dryer to a motel anymore?!

Fun place in Watersmeet! Great drinks and decent food. Love the bands on the weekends. Only don’t like the smoke.

* Two words — lone wolf. Honestly, the only reason I gave this place two star has to do with the fact that the roof didn’t leak. I would later find out that a «hotel queen» is a queen-size bed just a bit smaller — a.k.a a full-size bed. When I went to talk to the manager of the hotel about this she wasn’t around and didn’t get much assistance from the assistant manager. All she could say was that the linens they get for the beds said«queen» on them. Like that helps much. WOW!!! Aside from the hotel bed size issue, everything else was just mediocre at best. So underwhelming I’ve chosen to use some brain bleach and erase most of the memories from that experience. * A/C warm to cool and 1 – 10, 7 on noise! Smoky smell room/hotel! I honestly think the most exciting thing about the place was it’s just down the street from the job, no Wi-Fi in the rooms, just in the lobby! Really! * If you are traveling on business or like to have reliable and fast Internet access, do NOT stay here. Horrible service. You will not get any work done here if you need Internet access. Pathetic internet service! * 2 stars is the best I can give for this hotel. One for its location and the other for its friendly staff. Don’t stay here if you can. * I would not recommend this hotel. All in all, next time I’m in the area I’ll spring for the extra distance and go to Eagle River! Not too far away. Inexpensive, but not enough to make it worth the inconveniences we experienced. Not Recommend… Grade D–
