While I don’t disagree with the previous review that the course does lack some refinement, I do find it to be one of my favoriate courses to play. While there are plenty of missing refinements that make play for the serious golfer far more enjoyable, the scenary and lack of crowds creates one of the more therapudic environments I have golfed in. Not sure they’ll be hosting a Major any time soon but for the occasional golfer looking for a way to fill a day, it doesn’t get much better.

This is actually two, 9-hole courses, built 10 years apart. They don’t really understand how to make a golf outing enjoyable for the golfers. The only yardage markers on the course are the 200, 159, 100, and 50-yard markers in the fairway. Most are black and hard to see. And, they don’t have them on all the holes. There are several 90-degree dogleg switch no indication as to how far to the bend, so you could hit through the fairway very easily. There are many blind shots, only because they haven’t cut the overgrowth between the tee box and the green. On one par 3 hole on the back nine, you can barely see the top of the flag through the overgrown brush, and none of the green. On the next hole,(a par 5), its a double dogleg, with one shot over an overgrown rough area, yet there is no indication as to how far the end of the fairway is. They could easily laser the sprinkler heads, and provide some tips on how to play each hole at the tee boxes. Oh, and there are two dogleg par 4 holes with signs saying you can’t attempt to drive the green until the green is clear… but you can’t see the green, and there is no signal to give the group behind you it’s clear to hit! Most of the greens were in very bad shape, the rough was tough, which I don’t mind but the when you’re playing blind, there’s a good chance you’ll be in it quite often. All in all, I’d avoid the course.
