Although I haven’t been here in years I have a fond place in my heart for Houlahan’s. Growing up I came monthly to then «The Depot» to visit my Grandfather at his bar. I remember trying to help him behind the counter and getting 5c for every can I could crush. Years later, after he passed I came back to now Huoulahan’s for my first drink at a bar. This is also where I introduced my now wife to my aunt and grandmother for the first time. This place will always be special to me and my family.

Gotta say I love this place! Waterman is a small town (pop 1300) and this place has that feel (which is good). The food is freshly made when you order it. The fries are in my top 3 category – fresh, not factory deep fried crap. The sandwiches are tastey. The service is great. And it’s really inexpensive. Love it!
My favorite, so far, is the «squeeler». A half pound burger with pulled pork on top and cheese.
