Target Stores

Visited Waterloo this weekend and came here twice. It is definitely a very good target.
The employees and very nice and the store is very clean
The one thing that differs between Waterloo and Des Moines is that in this target they have a lot of great sales. Like this weekend they had accessories for 50% off. That is amazing!
Definitely one of my favorite places to go when I visit Waterloo.

I’d rather go here than Walmart. Because the store is more cleaner and easier to find stuff and they have cute clothes for your baby and nicer bathrooms

I live near a new Target with nicer carts and newer everything… walking in here I was disappointed they didn’t have the plastic looking carts. I’m silly, I know. But the customer service of everyone I encountered made up for the lack of cartoon type accessories. ;) Super great staff at this Super Target.

The store is nice and clean and I prefer to shop here over Walmart or Kmart any day. So why only 3 stars?
Well the last few months when I have went here I felt the service was terrible. Employees look at you, even make eye contact but make no facial expressions and don’t even acknowledge your existence.
No employee would dare to offer assistance. They apparently have too many tasks to do and no focus on customers.
It gets worse. The check out experience sucks. One time I had a cart full of stuff. I had several 12 packs of pop, bath towels and a few grocery items. There was only 1 register open so naturally I went to that one.
When I started to unload my cart the cashier leaned over, assessed my cart and made an audible augh. He never acknowledged me, never asked me how I was or if I found everything okay but spent the entire transaction talking with the shift manager who was counting a register behind him. He did stop talking to briefly tell me the total. But no please, no thank you, no have a great day.
This was not an isolated instance. Two weeks ago I bought a few items and my $ 6 steak didn’t end up in my bag. I got home and had no supper so I drove back and the cashier still had it at her register. It wasn’t that I didn’t grab it since she physically handed me the bags and told me «thank you». Yes I know mistakes can be made, but it was inconvenient.
So it’s not that I don’t like shopping here but it’s not like «hey let’s go to target!» It’s just another place I have to go.

This Target was nice: clean, big, easy parking. I stopped in the Starbucks after shopping and the drink was made quickly and by a friendly barista.

I really enjoy getting my coffee beans grounded for a French press at the target starbucks Its better. All worthwhile sales are at tge crossroads location. The brand new target in cedar falls is nice but the sales are dismal! Service is great now use to wait forever to checkout now they open addtl lanes right away!
