La Garza Burgers & More

Ate there last night, awesome! Worth going back to taste more burger’s!!! I would recommend it to everybody!

Blown away! My sweetheart & I ate here for the 1^st time a of couple weeks ago. We had heard good things about it & La Garza did not disappoint. I consider myself a foodie & can be a bit critical. The service was excellent as well. She was very attentive & friendly. I wasn’t in the mood for a burger so I ordered the chicken sandwich. It had so much meat & was very tender! One of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. He had the Blue Lagoon burger & it was out of this world. He said it was the «best burger» he’s ever had. I had a bite & to say I was very impressed, is an understatement. Everything was awesome & we can’t wait to go back! We had a couple friends tell us recently that they tried it a while back & were NOT impressed. A couple of the reviews here weren’t that great either, but all it takes is one bad review for an owner to turn things around! Maybe that’s what happened here because our experience was nothing short of fantastic. So give this place another try if you had a not so good experience in the past. I believe in 2^nd chances, do you?

Very good service an very friendly an it’s a very comfortable environment the food is everything I expected it would be it is by far one of the best burgers I have tried an the French fries were very crunch hot an good I would recommend trying the cowboy bacon burger an if your not from Waterford I’d recommend traveling here to try it for yourself you won’t be sorry

Burgers are tasty! Love a good burger. The service is great a good family restaraunt need more burger joints like this! Also try the el jefe breakfast burrito it is very scrumptious.

We had a groupon and had burgers and fries. Really good. One of the best burgers we have ever had. The people are very nice too. We live in Modesto but will be coming back for sure.

Great food! Everything was cooked perfect, great taste customer service was awesome, didn’t have to ask for anything, cheap for what you get, tip get the $ 50 for $ 25!

This place is clean Christmas decorations are up the staff is friendly they go over the top to provide the custom burger you want. The cook went as far to talk to me about how I wanted it made wow. I ordered the Baco-​Bacon double patty with the Horseradish and Garlic add pickle and onion.

I just had the Fiery Fury again & it did not disappoint. Seems like it tasted better the 2^nd time around. Had the Blue Lagoon & the Maui also. Great burgers. That young man can create a masterpiece. Friendly service & awesome décor. Keep up the good work, this little town needs a phenomenal establishment like you guys. Thank you.

I bought a Groupon for this place. Was a little unsure of the drive out to Waterford. Turned out to be the best burger I’ve ever had! Will definitely make the trip again! Service was awesome, food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try every burger on the menu.

Wow! What an amazing burger in this small town restaurant. We were visiting our niece who goes to school in Turlock and were looking for a local place to eat in one of the surrounding towns. This was it!
We had smokehouse burgers and they were fantastic! Thick juicy hamburger patties with onion strings, mushrooms, cheese, and a great sauce.
The service was great, also — friendly and attentive.
We will definitely go back on our next visit to this part of the state!

Went here for the first time today and I must say that their burgers are one of the best ones I’ve had in valley! Everyone working their was extremely nice and made sure our food tasted good and that our drinks were filled. I’ll definitely make my boyfriend drive from Modesto to La Garza again, it’s worth it for some delicious burgers!

— fresh cut fries, not frozen
— fresh hand-​made patties, not frozen as well
— check fountain soda mix (syrup, Co2, h2o)

Worth the little drive from Modesto to Waterford! Best BURGERS EVER! The family who owns the business are so friendly and helpful! Huge burgers and fresh bread and meat. They have creative combinations like the breakfast burger with hashbrowns! :) Clean restaurant! Great service! Great burger and fries!

Onion rings were crunchy and good. Like panko crusted. I liked them. I got the smokehouse burger. The menu says it has garlic sautéed mushrooms and horseradish, for two of the ingredients, but I didn’t taste the garlic or horseradish. It did have mushrooms though. Everything was cooked well. Nothing was bad, but the taste I formed in my head reading the menu for the first time didn’t come through. I will try another item next time. Our waiter was on an appropriate meal break while we were there, we were his only customers at the time, and I noticed that he said grace before eating and crossed himself. I thought that was very cool.

Had a great lunch, with my fiancé. Flavorful Burgers and Fries. Will come again, friendly family environment. I got the Lagoon Burger which has blue cheese and chipotle mayo, with Garlic Fried. I Loved it!

Yes, I drive from Stockton to eat here. The burgers and fries are that good. I ordered the Smokehouse Burger, crinkle-​cut fries (YEY!!!) and a cup of chili. An awesome meal. This is my second visit here and the second time that I have had this burger. Pretty much my favorite… at least until I try more ‘flavors’ of burgers. This burger includes special sauce, onion strings, mushrooms sauteed in garlic, horseradish, Swiss cheese on a specialty bun (that actually holds together while you eat this monster)!
Now for the fries. I appreciate that the owner, Pete, listened to my suggestion to try crinkle-​cut fries. I love ‘em! And so do other customers. I feel that he puts out really top-​notch burgers and now he has top-​notch fries!
If you like a great burger… and crinkle-​cut fries, give ‘em a try. Be sure to specify if you want the crinkle-​cut since they still serve regular fries, too!

Came to this mom and pop place on a very quiet Saturday night — looks to be run by a family. Mom runs the kitchen and son/​daughter the floor. Friendly but not overbearing service. Nice little place for downtown Waterford.
Daughter ordered chicken club — maybe a bit small but good flavor. I ordered the Blue Lagoon burger — really liked how they blended the blue cheese and chipotle mayo. A very good burger. Basket of sweet potato fries were a unique crinkle cut — cooked just right. Definitely will try other burgers here.

They have the best burgers in town!!! From the Crispy Chicken Sandwich to the All-​American Burger.
The customer service is best thing to make feel like you are at home.
Plus them opening for BREAKFAST is actually the best thing ever.
Plus calling in advance for your order for take out is the best thing if you are in a hurry.
Also the milkshakes are to die for especially the chocolate one. Every time my family is there, My father always order the Strawberry Milkshake.
