Their silverware game is lacking. Grilled blubbery muffins make up for it. The atmosphere friendly and welcoming, and the wait staff is always attentive.

Walking in to the coffee house it was a bit chilly. The waitress came to the table and by far was the best part of the restaurant. She was very friendly and helpful giving a warm feeling to the environment. Very reasonable prices, getting a chefs salad and deluxe burger came to 10 bucks, not bad. The salad was a small size and trust me, could fill you up alone. Unfortunately, the burger tasted like some type of house chemical and French fries were cold. This place is a cute little place to stop by but stay away from the burgers.

This place is gross! I expected it to be a dive, but after hearing it was great, decided to give it a try — bleh! The coffee wasn’t good. The service wasn’t good. The food, also not good. It’s cheap, but even that doesn’t justify the poor quality food. We won’t be back!

I discovered this place when I was living in the area briefly. I came here with others a few times for breakfast during the weekend. I’m a big fan of the ambiance — very old school and friendly. Diners are never expensive, but this place was incredibly cheap. Service was very good too. If I remember correctly they had an almost formal no swearing policy — therefore, it’s also very kid and family friendly. If I were in the area again, I would stop by for breakfast.

The food here was truly diner food, especially breakfast. The service is good, and we were able to get enough breakfast for 2 people under $ 10. You can’t ask for better,

I have been there before and food was great nice service but yesterday 11÷3÷14 service horrible. Food fine but the bus boy or whoever he was made a smart comment to me while walking away because I told him I didn’t get the bacon I ordered. Our waitress never checked n asked if food was ok or if we needed anything. When you’re in customer service you need to be polite. I was in no way rude or mean I simply said I never got my bacon. It was highly uncalled for. If you are going to be rude and don’t like people then get a different job.

This is one of my favorite places to go for a simple breakfast. The prices are great and the service is quick. How many diners do you know have a pool table in the back with old timers enjoying a game??? Makes for an interesting atmosphere with a down home, small town feel. I highly recommend a place like this for an inexpensive bite to eat.

I used to be the biggest advocate of Don and Paul’s for years. However, it’s been on a steady decline as of late which has me fighting not to set foot inside lately. It costs more for less and the quality of the food is bottoming out? Such a shame. Under cooked eggs twice in a row? No thanks.

I don’t know why everyone has hyped this place up so much. The menu is as simple as it gets. Eggs, omelets, and french toast. Standard diner quality. The best thing is their prices. I got a sausage and cheese omelet, hashbrown patty, toast, and a juice for $ 7.75 with tax! I can’t complain about that but I prefer other places that have specialties that I can’t just make at home or get anywhere. If you want a simple, cheap breakfast; go here. If you are looking for anything else I would suggest you go somewhere else. If you sit at the counter it feel like you are in a convenience store because they sell cigarettes and scratch offs and have quickdraw.

Been coming here for some time. yes, they slightly raised their prices. still the best bang for the buck around, it does get very busy for a reason. Good food, good price. just went this past weekend. did not see any change in quality. They have a FREE pool table in the back, you can play quick-draw…still fun home-town place.

I used to love going to this place for breakfast or brunch, but they must have a new chef now because the food is not up to par. I’ve given it several«last-chance’s» but have come home with too many stomach aches to give it another go. The food comes up under-cooked or burnt and is not as presentable as it was. They’ve also increased their prices. While they still have the lowest prices in town, I can’t pay more for a product I like less. We’ll miss you Don & Paul’s!

I used to go here every Saturday for breakfast. Food was good enough and you couldn’t beat the prices. Not the best by any stretch but two people could eat well here for 10 – 12 bucks plus a tip. That has changed. They have sense raised the prices which makes me much more critical(If you charge more, I expect more from you). Now, even trying to order less because it’s somewhat pricey a breakfast for two is 20 – 25 bucks plus tip. The food is decent, but 8 out of 10 people can cook a better breakfast at home. The service isn’t so great. Waitresses come and take your order(some are nicer than others and none stand out) then a buss boy or dishwasher come drop off your food. You have about half a second to get their attention if you need anything as they just drop the food and run. No one ever comes back to ask you how everything is, or to see if anything is messed up. Sometimes I used to sit at the bar but now I will wait for a booth if I have to. I had a really bad experience at the bar before. There are a few horribly smelling customers who frequent this place and if one of them sits next to you, you might not be able to taste or hold down your food. It used to be a worth while place to go(as long as you sat in a booth) but now that they raised the prices, I’d much rather go somewhere else. They turned me from a regular customer into a rare, once in a while customer who’d rather not.

Fantstic place for breakfast with amazing prices from the mid-eighties(I swear!) The omelets are big and stuffed with fillings and the French Toast hasn’t let my girlfriend down yet! Just make sure you get there early on the weekend(like before 8:15) or you’ll be waiting a while for a table! Enjoy!

Large portions of homemade food, with low prices and a cozy atmosphere. I’m a long time resident of Waterford and I’ve been here many times. Finding a legal parking spot super close can be a pain, but I’m super particular about being parked directly on top of stuff so… bleh. :)

Don & Paul’s is a great little place to stop for a quick meal or coffee. It’s apparently very popular with the locals in Waterford, and accordingly it can get fairly busy. There’s nothing really remarkable about the place, except for two things: price and atmosphere. As far as price goes, it’s cheap. Dirt cheap. Two people can easily eat here for under $ 10-$ 15 total. In terms of its atmosphere, it has a small, local, friendly vibe to it.

Don & Paul’s Coffee Shoppe is a very popular local diner/restaurant located in the village, serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. This place has a homey diner atmosphere with lots of old pictures and décor on the walls. NYS Lottery scratch tickets and Quick Draw tickets are sold here. The menu offerings include typical breakfast fare, as well as sandwiches, subs, burgers, hot dogs, fried seafood, and daily specials(lasagna, spaghetti & meatballs). The prices here are pretty reasonable, most items are priced well under $ 10. They offer 2 eggs with toast and coffee for $ 1.75, a crabmeat sandwich with fries is $ 6.25 and a scallop dinner is $ 10.95. I decided to stop here for Saturday breakfast and the place was mobbed with a crowd of potential customers waiting around near the front door, some leaving. All tables and stools at the L shaped lunch counter were all occupied. I waited for about 10 minutes for an available seat at the counter. I was offered a drink(coffee) as I sat down. The fresh brewed coffee($ 0.80/dine-in price) was pretty good and just right, which was Machristay’s(Chris’ Coffee Service). I did ask about the corned beef hash, which is not homemade, so I ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich($ 3.40) and a side of home fries($ 1.55). The food arrived promptly. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good which had a juicy grilled sausage patty, folded scrambled egg with American cheese on a soft toasted plain bagel. The homefries, however were pretty okay, which were lightly deep fried potato cubes and unsalted(a plus), similar texture to French fries. I do prefer the home fries(scalloped potatoes) served across the street. The service though not superfriendly was attentive, with the owner and waitress quickly making the rounds dropping off food and carrying the coffee pot, refilling mugs. The total check was $ 6.15 with tax/before tip. POSTEDHOURSONDOOR: 6AM-9PM daily
