Emperor Choice Chinese Restauraunt

I live just down the street and have not been happy with a few of my nearby Chinese delivery places lately. This place popped up on my «Yelp» app while searching for Chinese in my vicinity, and I went to check it out. Nothing spectacular, just decent staple Chinese delivery /​Take out food. The people are friendly and the food is ready quick and fresh.
I will stop in here to get me Chinese food fix when a craving arises from now on.

Food is great! The delivery was fast! But the driver was lazy and rude! He didn’t want to get out of the car to bring me my food into the salon.

One of the better China food places I have been to and the eggroll may be the best I have ever had! Id recommend

Omgggggg I love their food!!! I love their driver isn’t push for a tip delivers quick. The fried shrimp is so yummy. I honestly want to order some food after this review but they are closed. The noddles are nice and thick not thin like most places. Only place that substitutes fried rice for pork fried rice. I just wish they kept their old combo dinner with a choice of shrimp instead of an egg roll. They also know my order and address when I call. please support this business and go here (not new moon)

Ordered ribs, Broccoli with beef and white rice combo, and ribs tips + beef lo mein + pork fried rice. Plus one large wonton soup.
This restaurant gives you big portions of food for the amount paid. The question you should be asking is are you getting your monies worth? I enjoyed the white rice, egg roll (included in the combo), and wonton soup. That is it!
The ribs Bque sauce was good but the texture of the ribs were EXTREMELY rubbery-​like, and dry. I can tell the ribs were dropped in a oil frier prior to smacking on the B Que sauce instead of being broiled in the oven.
The rib tips had a strong freezer taste, and was more rubbery than the ribs. The pork fried rice usual color of yellow was outshine by the neutral base of «black» as the rice had way to much soy sauce in it, resulting in a salty experience. The broccoli needed to cook more as they were very crunchy, and the beef had the taste of «beyond sell by date» if you know what i mean.
The lo mein noodles with vegetables were good, but what ruined that combo was the same beef that was in the beef and broccoli combo.
This restaurant does not serve the freshest meats! The restaurant needs to revamp how they store food in a freezer. Whether it be by using plastic freezer bags or some other means of protecting their meats.
I strongly feel that this (and many other restaurants — just to be fair) re-​heat prior days food that wasn’t sold before, and then serves it as fresh.
Not a wise $ 34 i spent, as I threw away a good portion of it.
I have family in Waterbury, and have eaten at better waterbury chinese restaurants.

All I can say is that I’m impressed. It came super fast, tasted great, and the delivery guy was very friendly. I was in town for a conference so I took a chance on this place and I would recommend that others do the same.

I have ordered delivery from this place a couple of times so far since they opened up. Each time I call in my order the man on the phone has been very friendly. He speaks a little fast, but it’s understandable as they want to get your food ready for pick up or delivered as soon as possible.
This last order I had the sweet and sour pork with pork fried rice, an egg roll and shrimp toast. Depending on what you order, the food might be greasy. The shrimp toasts were a bit greasy, but still very good. The sweet and sour pork was not greasy, so I enjoyed them. One plus that this place has over others in the area is the variety of combination dishes that they have on their menu. There is even a section of combo dishes that they serve all day for a good price, similar to lunch specials.
It’s a nice place to check out if you are craving Chinese, especially if you want a bit of everything. A good selection of combination platters available all day, not just limited to lunch time. The quality of Chinese food is typical for fast food take out, but still good and filling. This will be one of the Chinese places for me to hit up whenever I come back to my hometown.
