Como Bakery / La Dolce Vita Cafe

While everyone else I know gives things up for lent, I know that there is one thing I should really give up and that is the Zeppole made here! While everyone else is losing weight between Ash Wednesday and Easter, I am coming in here and sending everyone else I know here for the best Zeppole within miles!!! They are amazing!

Went there on Sunday morning to this BAKERY for a fresh loaf of Italian bread. They said they did not bake today but they had one small loaf of day old bread. So disappointed! Bakeries are supposed to bake, especially on Sunday. A wasted trip unless you want day (or days) old baked goods.

First off, the people who work here are super friendly and nice.
This place makes really good Italian cookies and pastries. I love everything I’ve had there from the ricotta cookies, sfogs, lemon cake, coconut cake, cupcakes, etc. But what I love most is that their pastries lead with flavor instead of sweetness.
They also offer a limited lunch menu consisting of sandwiches, pizzas, etc.
If this place was located in another town/​city/​area, it would definitely be a hit.
I only wish they were open later… their standard hours are 9−5÷6.

Well, from the handful of items that I’ve tried, I’ve loved them all. We’ve had the Italian wedding cake, lemon cake, and tiramisu cake… The Tiramisu is positively addictive. Quite excellent. Cappuccino is available which tends to go well with the cake :-)
They have seating which is great if you just have an uncontrollable urge for cake and coffee.
I’ve been there close to noon time, and they are usually busy prepping some lunch things, so I suspect that they have a limited lunch menu. Sadly I did not inquire, as to what the menu is.
Their prices are quite reasonable compared to other bakeries I’ve been in, and the portions of cake are more than ample. My husband and I can share a piece and be satisfied… which is what we did the first time that we stopped in, but the second time, he insisted on having a piece all to himself. :-) Can’t blame him.
Service is friendly, and the folks working there are very nice.
No complaints… Will keep coming back.
***Try the Tiramisu. It will change your life… lol
