We heard this place was reopened. We walked in… They were open… We walked out within 45 seconds. There was some crappy music blaring, and the buffet was empty except for a tray of ziti, a tray of fat(with a touch of meat attached) and another tray of something else that didn’t impress me enough to even remember what it was. Oh yeah, there were also a bunch of people dancing and yelling very loudly, even louder than the ridiculously loud music! Fuck that place! Also, where we walked in, there was no one to greet and no indication whether to seat yourself, wait, etc. and no indication of what they were offering. This place should go back to closed forever!

Don’t let the lack of pictures and website fool you. A true hidden gem. We ate there last night and fell in love. Ten different meats brought to you rodizio style. Nice side dish buffet. Great service! Classy décor inside. $ 31 a person is extremely fair for what you get. Other rodizio places charge almost $ 40 and the meat quality isn’t as good. My only regret is that I did not take any pictures. Please do yourself a favor and go here.

I came here for dinner with a friend before a show at the Palace. After reading the positive reviews, we were hoping the Brazilian BBQ would be as good as the reviews say it is. It is. We loved the small portions and the fact that they cook your meat to order. I didn’t love every cut of meat(the sausages were the first served and didn’t make a great first impression), but the majority of all the other cuts were very good. The standouts were the prime rib and teriyaki steak. I knew not to over-indulge in the salad bar, but what I did have was pretty good as well. Some institutional ingredients were used here(like the flavorless meatballs), but even so, it made a decent accompaniment to the main course. The service was fast and very friendly, and the atmosphere was very nice too. I’m looking forward to a return visit.

I thought that all Brazas in Connecticut had closed down. I had a horrendous experience at the Farmington location and ended up not having a chance to use Groupons that I had purchased before they closed shortly thereafter. I was disappointed because Braza went from being one of my favorite restaurants to a becoming a complete disaster. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that there was a Waterbury location that was still open. I recently had an appointment in Waterbury so I decided to swing by. I was pleasantly surprised to find a churrascaria with a contemporary dining space, warm ambiance and friendly service. I was informed that they were under new ownership and boy could you tell! You begin with a salad bar that includes fruit, rice, beans, plantains and other sides. The rodízio includes eight choices of beef, pork and chicken. The meat is fresh and flavorful and the pieces are generous. It is an all you can eat but I was stuffed after the first round. At $ 31.50, I do think it is slightly overpriced. Patrons also have the option of opting out of the churrasco and ordering a la carte. From what I understand the Bank Street Bistro was previously housed in this location and they kept the menu. Really happy that Braza has redeemed itself. I plan to return.

When here tonight for my birthday dinner. I actually went here expecting bank street bistro, but after going in we realized that they closed a few years ago and that braza took over. I wasn’t sure what to expect after that, but it was a nice dinner. I got the meat skewers/buffet. It came with a sample of ten meats from sausages, chicken wings, lamb, pork, and four different steaks. I enjoyed most of them some more than others. The buffet was nice to the salad buffet had great stuffed grape leaves. I didn’t want to fill too much in that though because of all the meat. My mom got a salad which she enjoyed very much. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. Although I was expecting to get something else I wasn’t disappointed with Braza. I think it’s something everyone should try. It’s a fun and neat experience. If your a meat lover I would definitely try it.

The overall atmosphere was dead. Granted I went in at 5:30 but it was a Saturday night. Me and my girlfriend chose the Brazilian barbecue which consisted of all you could eat that the server brought out to you in small portions. This consisted of various meats like pork/chicken sausage, various steaks like teriyaki, filet mignon wrapped in bacon and garlic. The choice of meats ranged from fair to pretty good but nothing to shout about. Overall I feel the price of the meal(24.95) apiece was a little overpriced. Although if you have a big appetite and absolutely love eating meat, then this place might be for you but for me it was an average meal that I could find for cheaper somewhere else.

I thought all the Churrascaria Braza restaurants closed, but I learned today that the Waterbury location’s still there. And I’m pretty glad because it was a great stop for lunch. Right downtown, past a bunch of banks and stores selling clothing and used goods, Churrascaria Braza was a surprising find. It’s much larger on the inside than expected. There’s a very open layout with Brazilian décor and style. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant while we were there, but it was a comfortable experience. The lunch menu was interesting, and reasonably priced. There were some Brazilian-inspired sandwiches, salads, and pastas, as well as a grilled cheese with lots of different cheeses and a buffalo chicken wrap. I went with the lambada steak sandwich, which had onions, mushrooms, and peppers. It was a solid sandwich. Soft roll, good amount of well-seasoned slices of steak, sauteed veggies that still retained a little crispness. I could have used a little more filling, but it was good. Served with fries, for $ 7.95, it wasn’t bad. The fries were really good too — the battered and seasoned wedge-type. I heard the grilled cheese — the Braza Spectacular, actually — was fantastic, and the salad looked pretty good. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She even immediately knew what we were asking when we started to ask her a question about the music. Almost everything played was a sweet 90s alternative song with female lead vocals — we got some Cranberries, Meredith Brooks, Tracy Chapman, Natalie Imbruglia, and Avril Lavigne. There was some more modern Adele and male lead vocals with the Goo Goo Dolls thrown in there, too. The whole playlist was incredible. Our waitress let us know that the Pandora station was Alanis. I had to make an Alanis Morissette station as soon as I got home to keep the vibe going, and I’m listening to it as I type this review.
