Best deli in the Waterbury area and there is a lot of competition! Everything is always very fresh which of course makes it taste better! Prices are always good and I love how they plastic wrap the sandwiches in trays. Been going for yours and they never disappoint. If you love roasted red peppers make sure to add theirs to your sandwich! They also make hot sandwiches on the grille.

Ann’s deli has been the go to Deli since I was in grade school, 1988? Amazing family owned deli. I love the people and the sandwiches. This place is an authentic deli, portions are more than generous and have always been fair priced. I have not been back to CT in 3 years and this will be a must when I visit next week. This is a must if in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Great food. Take out meals are great, good prices. Staff very helpful. Love the fact that the staff wash their hands after every transaction which is a good sign of their sanitary standards. Cold cuts are less expensive than the big stores. Really like this deli.

Good deli. Sandwiches are good. However, the guy charged me 25 cents more than the the price on the wall for my sandwich. Seemed shady.

Best breakfast sandwich in the Hopeville area and quite possibly the town. Standard egg and cheese with your choice of meat (bacon, ham, sausage). Pro tip: Ask for extra meat for .50 more. You can thank me later.
Lunch time subs done right. Everything is fresh and made to order. The bread is chewy and they add just the right amount of toppings to make a delicious grinder.
The deli case is filled with standard deli fair, such as anti-​pasta, pickled this and that, large whole pickles and a wide assortment of salads.
Take out only. Be prepared to wait around lunchtime as it gets busy. I also like the fact that they sell a good variety of local canned goods as well as their own Marinara.

The ONLY place I go for FRESH grinders and deli meat. Staff is knowledgable and the prices are a steal.

Definitely the go to deli around lunch time. Very fair prices for what you get (which is a lot mind you). It’s takeout only, but it’s fine considering we usually order lunch from work and go pick up. We have also gotten antipasta from here that is TO DIE for. The sandwiches are big and they wrap them up great for driving purposes (they don’t fall apart and look the same as if you were to eat it there). They also have this «hot pepper relish» we call it that they add onto the sandwiches that gives it that extra «kick». It’s definitely a hidden gem, but you just need to get a sandwich from here to understand what I and the previous reviewers are talking about. Big heart sandwiches that will fill you up on one half only! Something I can get used to!

I purchase sandwich meat and breakfast sandwiches all the time, their prices are stuck in 1989 and we love that! Quality is on par, just because you are getting it dirt cheap doesn’t mean it’s not excellent food, because it is. A true local business, the owner is always on site. The bf sandwiches are perfect, chewy bread with fresh egg n sausage patty cooked right in front of you, this place gets BUSY during lunch so expect a wait. You can call ahead to place orders and they aren’t open Sundays.

Great food! Cheap! Really cheap. Waterbury’s best kept secret. My only complaint is the kids who work there haven’t any personality… it’s like walking into a morgue, everyone is so sullen. Cheer up people, you make the best grinders in town.

Classic Italian deli known for their grinders (known as subs for people outside of CT) made to order.
Prices are very good and the food is fresh and what you expect from a true city Italian deli. Can be busy around lunch and their hours aren’t the greatest. Keep in mind this is takeout only, no seating.
Everything you can think of available sandwich wise. Then common deli stuff like antipastas. Also, limited selection of their own prepackaged marinara sauce, pasta dishes, salads, and produce (onions, vegatables, bread, etc). And they have the usual soda and chip selection.
Can’t say enough about this place, true older mom and pop establishment. Among the best of Waterbury for lunch takeout, I have been going here for well over a decade.
