Friendly service and perfectly convenient when I want beer but don’t want to get dressed.(I refuse to end up on a people of walmart post because I didn’t want to get suitably dressed) Also! When I have my dog in the car with me, the lady gives him a dog treat. I think that’s awesome! And even more importantly, my dog doesn’t usually take treats from people, so it’s nice to know my dog doesn’t think Voldemort is running this place.

I’ve seen beer barns sporadically, yet am glad that we have one in town. The concept is pretty simple: drive your car into the bar, and choose between various beer choices of IPAs, Shiner Bock, Bud Light and Budweiser, etc. There are also wine choices on the far right of the aisle, and I noticed some larger 22-ounce bottles as well. The service is quite prompt. Of course, it would have to be, if you have a drive-thru service. The Watauga Beer Barn offers snacks, such as Skittles, cashews and pistachios, yet that is pretty much it. I also noticed that there are beer kegs on the far left side of the drive-thru. Customer service is quite friendly, yet this was expected. Even if you have to step outside of your car for anything, the interior is at a good temp, despite the fact that the A/C flows out of the drive-thru opening. Beer costs are what is expected that you would find at any grocery or liquor store. Very competitive, and not overly ridiculous. So glad that there are additional IPA choices than the standard Sierra Nevada or Sam Adam’s Rebel IPA. Altogether, quick, fast, and easy-peezy.

I’m reviewing the beer barn only because it is a staple in the community and in my life! I literally remember driving through with my parents to get a soda, while they picked up some beer, on way home or to the lake. This place is legendary in Watauga. Super convenient… now, if only they’d make drive thru grocery stores…

Being a recent transplant from AZ, it was mind boggling to realize you can drive-thru your order for alcohol! The folks that work here are super friendly, usually starting polite conversation while you pay and always willing to help with your selection if needed. You’ve got a better selection of beer than wine, but there’s good options for both. You can also purchase snacks, cigs, and lotto tickets if that’s your thing. I just enjoy the experience of driving through an establishment and purchasing some beer without ever leaving my auto! And the fact that it’s only a couple miles from our house make this the perfect option when we’re having company over and are out of beer or wine. There and back with our hands full in less than 15 minutes, score! I saw some craft beers, local brews, and most of the major domestics. My wife prefers wine and they have an OK selection– bought the last Kim Crawford sav blanc the other night — $ 18 for the bottle(vs. $ 14 at Kroger) but was surprised to see a good wine there.

This beer barn is hilarious, first time encountering one of these things seems great for last minute alcohol!

Discovered this place on the way home from work on Denton. Awesome concept, quick, easy and drive thru so you don’t have to turn off your car or park and go inside. They have a good variety of beer, wine and snacks on either side of your car so you can see the variety. Plus, it’s really fun just to drive thru a barn and come out the other end with a 6 pack!

I’ve been literally driving through the Watauga Beer Barn off and on for over ten years. I never thought much about until my brother came to visit from Virginia(that was his first time to Texas, and for our wedding). Seems VA takes the sale of adult beverages pretty seriously so he was completely blown away by the fact he did not need to get out his car to buy some beer(wonder what he would think of the Eskimo Hut?). So while it’s not as close to home as it used to be(we moved), I’ll still swing through from time to time to grab a quick six pack.

The beer barn is a great concept. When you need beer really fast — this is the place for you… There is a driveway that goes around the back of the barn and then turns and takes you right into the center of the barn. When you get in the barn, on the left side of the driveway is an entire set of coolers holding 6 packs, 12 packs, 18 packs and cases of cold domestic and imported beer. The right side of the drive has kegs and other assorted party needs. You drive your vehicle into the barn and the attendants come out take your order and bring the beer to your car or pick up truck. «Fast food» for beer … a great idea. The other plus — the beer barn prices are lower than the other establishments in this area of Fort Worth. A great place to shop…

I just could not stop myself from taking photos of this establishment. Where else can you pull into a barn and purchace a six pack of Lone Star or a keg of Budwieser. Enough said.
