Been here twice and both times waited forever for food, both times was very empty and still our server would take off and not come back, even to fill our cups. The food is dismally bland and poorly made, the place is just terrible, no wonder it’s always empty when I’ve been there. Yuck.

Locals is a really fun place. We went over there while waiting an hour to get into the Grandview Inn and all I can say is that our server was outstanding!!! This young lady who only works on Sunday as she is a college student, took time to explain the beers and just have an enjoyable conversation. When she found out that we had been in AK for 17 days she was asking about our travels — acted interested. We did end up ordering from the Inn because they didn’t tell us their grill was closed on Sunday’s. Definitely a fun place to go and would go again if we ever head that way when we go back to AK

I can’t recommend the wings. they were just bad freezer wings. pizza — ok. nothing to write home about… where this place really left an impression was service. bad attitude, slow, inattentive. wouldn’t come back if they paid me.

I cannot believe the poor service of this establishment. Upon entry the hostess was not efficient in her seating and making sure we were seated prior to other entry.
After ordering a pioneer peak pizza and a kid cheese pizza we waited. Waited. Waited. And waited. An hour and ten minutes went by before we got the kid pizza. The server stated the food would be out soon. No less than five minutes later, the manager, who had a food stained apron on, came over and stated that they did not have the meat for our pizza. It took almost an hour and a half for them to tell us they couldn’t make or food.

Three of us for dinner. My wife, myself and our eight year old son. We had the medium Aurora pizza, son had the corn dog from the kids menu. We loved the pizza. Think Moose’s Tooth, only good. Good beer selection. Service good, food good, prices good. We will go back.

Saturday night. We went to Evangelo’s up the road and they said it would be a 40 min wait. So we went up the road to Locals. No hostess when we show up. Another party of four was in front of us and they hadn’t seen a hostess yet either. We finally got seated. We got our beverages in a timely manner. Waitress took our order and appetizer order. We were told by the waitress that the appetizers would come out fast. We had a one year old and a diabetic in our party so we wanted to make sure they got something in a hurry. Well after a significant wait most of our dinner order came out with our appetizers. One of our party never got his meal. We told them to keep it after an hour. We asked for the manager and he came right over and was very pleasant and accommodating. The waitress barely came over to check on our beverages. Most likely won’t be coming back.

A sports bar without the NFL Sunday Ticket and absolutely horrible soggy chicken wings… Locals is a discredit to sports bars!!! They should remove their TVs and take the wings off their menu ASAP

This place shouldn’t feature their wings like they do, the wings here are pretty bad. The don’t fry them, they buy frozen precooked wings, thaw and warm them, then heat them up when the order comes in. The wings arrive very soft and defeated. Grocery stores like Carrs and Fred Meyer sell cooked, lightly sauced and breaded wings like these in their meat department.
The bar can have a nice atmosphere, and they do have a terrific selection of Alaska brews on tap. But they put no effort into their wings, and it shows.

If I could do negative stars I would!!! This place is horrible. We waited 2 hours and 15 min for one small pizza!!! It finally came out after asking multiple times for it. It was so undercooked that we could string out the dough!!! We still had to pay a $ 15 bill after talking with the manager! We will never be going back!!!

Locals is one of the few restaurants in Wasilla that is open late. Typically, the service is very good and the food quite good, but I’m opposed to a restaurant allowing patrons to bring in their dogs, especially when the waitress had to make a big deal about being able to pet the dog.

Great pizza and beer selection. Slow on food delivery but otherwise good service. We love the garlic knots and the specialty drinks. My favorite is the matsu mojito.

In town for work with a coworker and stopped because it was convenient and we were hungry. Very friendly server who could not have been more helpful. I had the Sausage sandwich and my friend the Meatball sandwich. They are served open faced with knife and fork. Very good. The bread was delicious as was the marinara cheese and sausage. Just a nice blend of favors. I could not have finished the whole thing if I ate all the bread so I ate about half with the bread and then just finished off the sausage and peppers. Good spot. Next time I am in town I will come back. Didn’t taste the meatballs but my friend said it was very good.

The Jalapeño Cheesy Bread is the best appetizer on the menu! Loved the «Husky» specialized pizza as well! The small pizza was just right for 2 people! Our food was warm & delivered to our table quickly!

Food and drinks were good. We ordered half and half specialty pizza, two of the beer samplers (pretty cool and a good price), and a aurora nights martini? Which was yummy. Service was nice as well. Great hangout option.

I’ve eaten here a few times since I have been back in the U.S. I love pizza and I love beer, so this should be a match made in heaven. I have found that while their pizza sizes are pretty generous, they are often incredibly greasy. However on our last outing, we went simple. I had a locally brewed pint and we shared a pepperoni pizza. It was a pretty solid pizza and the beer was on point. Service did leave a bit to be desired. We were sitting in the bar area and did not get a menu or any love from the wait staff for about 10 minutes. They were not busy yet, so I’m not sure why there was such a delay. The staff did seem a bit more focused on setting up the TVs for the pay-​per-​view fight they were broadcasting. I think if we had sat in the dining area instead of the bar we may have received service faster.
Side note, Locals does have a military discount for active duty military w/​ID card

We had amazing service, the food was phenomenal, prices were fantastic! We will definitely come back again. This is a great place to have some food and drinks in the Mat-​Su! I’ve heard mixed reviews but I’m definitely going to keep coming back. My favorite drink is the Northern Lights Martini… Yum! The Denali Destroyer pizza was amazing. The sizes alone are huge! My kid loves the food too, and she’s a picky eater!

The meatball sliders: great bun, moist meatball topped with just enough red onion and a marinara. Served with homemade chips and «local» sauce (barbecue with a bite). Very good.
The spinach salad with pecans, feta etc and the house cranberry vinaigrette. Excellent.
The pizza was good, great crust.
Service excellent, prompt, friendly.
Prices were consistent with Alaska!

Ordered the boneless wings which weren’t anything special. Ordered another regular wings and extra blue cheese to go. Come to find out, we were missing the extra blue cheese (my fault for not checking before leaving though.)
The kicker part… my brother ordered the taco salad with no tomatoes. When our waitress Vanessa brought it out, it had tomatoes. My brother mentioned it and she said «At least they’re on the side and not mixed in for you to pick out.»
Based on her comment alone, I doubt I’ll go back.
