What a fantastic experience! We stayed for one night at the White Moose Inn. The staff were amazing and very helpful. They did everything they could to accommodate us before we even arrived! The inn is around the corner from the Inn at Little Washington where we had dinner. We picked White Moose instead because it looked more modern. The view from our room was breathtaking. Breakfast was from a little bakery near by and it was delicious. All and all, a great experience! I can’t wait to go back!

The best way to describe The White Moose Inn is by its meticulous attention to detail. The rooms were beautifully appointed with excellent beds, and no detail was overlooked. The sophisticated décor creates a chic yet warm country inn. The location cannot be better with access to the best of the area. It is perfect both for a luxurious getaway or an outdoorsy weekend in the country. We can’t wait to return!

A lovely place. Perfectly curated and maintained with a warm and professional staff. A two-minute walk to the Inn at Little Washington and the perfect compliment to its more ornate, historical feel. Can’t wait to go back.

Great little gem in the heart of «little Washington» great rooms, accommodating staff. Carlo Wood was incredible as our host. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. This place is a short walk away from the Famed Inn at Little Washington French restaurants. Highly recommended a night or two at this place!

I rarely write reviews/put my name in the public domain but could not recommend this place more strongly. The place was immaculate, design-wise it was inspiring, what the rooms didn’t show the Tashen Books provided. Rooms were immaculate, everything was thought of, for example the windows were double or triple paned and couldn’t hear a thing through them, the doors were sealed so I couldn’t hear anyone else outside the room or building. I was born, raised and educated in NYC, peace and quiet is an extravagance. Being in the center of the little town put everything in walking distance. The fresh cut and fragrant peonies were a nice touch and a pleasant surprise to return to. Ran into Proprietor, very nice guy, confirmed everything was well but didn’t chew our ears off like most innkeepers. Immaculate, clean, hip spot, was surprised to find it in such an old town. Left a bag their, they were kind enough to mail it back for me. one small negative(or positive) was in a dead zone for VZ wireless but the internet service was better than home, facetimed colleagues.

What a great place! From the moment before we arrived(yes before!) we were getting attentive inquiries of what would make our visit and stay personal and quality. The rooms are very nice, well appointed, in a statement of simple elegance. Nothing over the top, just quality. The evening brings a lovely happy hour where you can get to know fellow travelers and engage in some quality local wines and a delightful locally distilled single malt. The morning brings a very nice breakfast laid our by hosts. Again, nothing over the top, simply local quality ingredients. We will head back to the White Moose Inn as our quick getaway destination choice going forward.

Overpriced! Creaky floors, firetrap house. Deck was nice, but the offering of cheap wine and trail mix is laughable. Cannot believe the other reviewers stayed at the same place. Maybe relatives off the owner. Have stayed in other inns in Little Washington that were much nicer for less $$.

Just perfect. From our greeting upon arrival to the moment we said goodbye, I couldn’t even find one thing to suggest as an improvement. Sarah is lovely and I can’t wait to go back.

What a wonderful place to stay if you are dining at The Inn at Little Washington or just looking for a place to relax in the country near Shenandoah. My wife and I stayed for 1 day and our only regret it not staying longer. The White Moose Inn is tastefully decorated in a modern style, with a perfect combination of country comfort and hospitality. The mountain view from the deck is breathtaking, and can be enjoyed peacefully over breakfast — a tasty blend of baked goods from a local bakery and excellent coffee. The manager also made us a delicious gruyère frittata. The company makes the experience even more enjoyable. While getting cell phone reception is tough in this part of Virginia, the rooms have great wi-fi, Bluetooth speakers in the shower and the beds are very comfortable. Overall, this is a gem and a highly recommended place to stay for anyone venturing through the Virginia mountainside.

A tastefully designed inn with attention to detail, this inn is a home away from home with all the modern comforts. Love the Scandinavian inspired décor that sleek yet playful with the moose head lighting. The rooms are totally sound proof and the blue tooth shower speaker is a touch of fun! I loved my room with the mountain view and l’occitane products! We spent our anniversary at the inn before heading to the Inn at Little Washington for dinner. Though the white moose inn provides accommodation for the people who dine at the famous restaurant, it really stands on its own as an inn. I heard that there are secret supper clubs that is hosted at its dining room! The happy hour showcased some good Virginian wines and whiskey. The breakfast was also very good. What a lovely time spent at the white moose inn. I would definitely stay there again!

I wanted to whisk my husband away for a celebration but we don’t enjoy inns or B&Bs that are decorated like nana’s Victorian house. Unfortunately, until recently, this area didn’t really offer any other options. The White Moose Inn is an oasis of cool comfort in an area brimming with tchotkes and very traditional décor. We knew we’d love it as soon as we pulled up and saw 3 Huffy cruisers begging to be taken out. The innkeeper, Christina is gracious, considerate, fun and welcoming as can be. The common areas feel like if Jonathan Adler brought Palm Springs chic to the Virginia countryside. Besides being clean, beautiful and modern, we took advantage of every amenity: the smart TV, the bluetooth speaker in the shower head(!!!), the complimentary beverage fridge, the wine and whiskey happy hour, the breakfast featuring granola and quiche from Red Truck Bakery, the cute little mason jars of M&Ms, and the lovely porch facing the mountains. We had a standard room and it was more than enough for us, especially since it was rather pricey, but I can’t imagine having to stay at a stuffy old doily-covered place; especially when you consider that we had a wonderful king bed with crisp linens. I think Christina and the gorgeous aesthetic of the White Moose might become an even bigger draw for us than the Inn at Little Washington’s food, and that is saying A LOT. Being a mere block away from the Inn at Little Washington made it the perfect place for a dream getaway for an amazing dinner celebration.
