I have 4 tiny pillows on a king size bed, it smells like someone has smoked in my non-smoking room and the 1980s called and want there shower back. The Hampton Inn next door is new, nicer and as a gold member I am often upgraded there. I see little to no value when there are 4 hotels less than a year old within eye site, one that is months old. It’s a shame, Hilton has lowered its standards lately and others are passing it by at light speed. Feels like the United of hotels, excuses and apologies in place of modernity and good service.

I see a LOT of hotels. I work with a company that travels no less than 150 people every 2 – 3 weeks. I was tasked with finding a hotel in Pittsburgh for an event. I fell on to this property after the deal with anotther hotel fell through. I was given grief by my client because the property was 35 minutes from the venue, so I reallly felt the pressure to make sure we had no hassles upon checkin. I arrived 3 days before the client and their guests. From the moment I checked in this staff made me feel at ease about the upcoming stay. This hotell staff treated everyone in the group like a VIP. It’s clear the staff at this hotel take pride in their jobs. They certainly know what hospitaliity is all about and went out of their way to ensure everryone was happy. From the GM to front desk staff to the wait staff to engineering, catering and housekeeping… all were on theirr game and kept a smile on their face. There were no «bad apples» on this staff — at least that I encountered. They made my job much easier and actuallyI recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to book a group or conference. It is certainly worth the drive from downtown.

I have to agree with the general rating. This is an older hotel that hasn’t seen any updates. A hotel can’t rate over two stars when your shoes stick to the bathroom floor this bad.

Still loving the. Double Tree Meadowlands! Recently They were booked solid for the first week of my five week stay in the area. Marsh and the staff found a way to squeeze me in! I cannot thank her enough! I just wouldn’t be comfortable staying anywhere else in the area. The staff f here makes it the perfect place to stay along with it’s convenient location. Thanks for the great customer service and helping me Marsha!

I recently attended a conference at the Doubletree by Hilton in Green Tree Pa. This hotel Is the pits. First of all if you want your linens changed on a daily basis you have to fill out a card and give to the people at the front desk. Second, they have a shuttle service to take you to and from the city of Pittsburgh which is 30 minutes away, the cost of this van is 5.00 each way. Also, they charge you to use the 2 computers in the lobby, 3.00 for 5 minutes. During the meetings the audio and visual equipment kept failing and the fire alarms kept going on and off. Dimly lit hallways and the food in the hotel restaurant is nothing to brag about. I will never stay at another Doubletree. Miserable experience.

The room was clean and the service fine. The staff were friendly and helpful. My advice though, is not to give your email address to Hilton Hhonors. I’ve been getting a boatload of spam and when I tried to unsubscribe, they said it would take SEVERALWEEKS to remove me. I hope even that is true… I’m still receiving copious amounts of spam.

Our client booked a meeting at The Doubletree Hotel — Meadow Lands. We didn’t know anything about it but assumed it would be a very acceptable facility. Yet after checking out the reviews on Trip Advisor and other online hotel ratings sites, we decided to stay at the new Marriott Courtyard nearby. What a relief that we did! This Doubletree is old, dark, dungeonous, and borderline dirty. We only experienced the meeting room so we have no opinion on the guest rooms. Staff members were really friendly but they spent most of their efforts correcting or apologizing for short-comings in the facility’s accommodations or services. The catering for our meeting of 10 people was terrible — the food was right on the edge of being called unacceptable. We had our meeting in the Lincoln room at the end of a long, dismal hallway and the ONLY bathroom was the single use restroom in the room. Otherwise we had to walk a significant distance up two separate flights of stairs to the front of the main lobby to use the facilities. The whole experience was disappointing and disjointed. In fact, when our client executive walked into the room, he kept apologizing. Neither he nor his admin had actually SEEN the facility. If they had, I am certain they would have immediately opted to have the session elsewhere or cancel the meeting altogether!

Attended a wedding here this weekend. They did a fantastic job with the reception — very nice lobby, cocktail area, and ballroom. I did not spend the night, though many of the wedding guests did. Also located conveniently close to the Meadows Racetrack & Casino.
