Discount Tire Store – Washington, UT

I went here at 8:30 in the morning with out an appointment, figuring it would take a little longer to get in. two hours later they had not taken the car in despite the fact that there were open bays, the workers just seemed to casually work. so my time was running late so I asked for my keys back, the guy told my I was next so I decided to wait, after a few minutes someone came and took my packet back, he set it on a work area and walked away, about fifteen minutes later he brought it back up and put in the waiting bin again and took some other packet back. What a joke, almost three hours later I just got my keys and left

Discount tire rocks! I’ve dealt with two different discount tire locations on 5 different occasions now and have only ever had a great experience. I needed 4 new tires on my car for a road trip later today. Two big box stores were happy to order my tires in as neither one had a single brand of the size I needed in stock. My car is a very common make 4 door sedan. I called this Discount Tire as I was driving there. They had 3 brands of the size tire I needed in stock. Cameron was awesome to explain the differences in the three brands. Literally less than 7 minutes from the moment I walked in their door the old tires were coming off my car with the exact size new tires I needed being put on! Awesome service. Competitive price and they have my tire in stock!

I purchased several sets of tires from Discount Tire when I lived in Peachtree City, GA and was always pleased with my visits there. Once when my sister was visiting me, she had a flat and instead of trying to sell her a new tire, they told her that her car should have a full size spare. They replaced the flat with her spare and didn’t charge her a penny. So when I moved to St. George, Utah, I was excited to see a store here. I had my previous set rotated until they needed replacing and was very happy with the price and service at this store.

I was driving back from a vacation from Zion’s National Park area when my tire started losing some of its tread. I stopped at Discount Tire to have them replaced. Overall my experience was not an overly negative experience. The typical «it will be ready in an hour.» and then it being ready in two. That is not a problem. I usually plan for that.
The problem occurs when I look at my new tires and see dirt on them and the little nubs rubbed off. I am not new to tires. I know there are different types of nubs. I could tell the tires had been driven on because there were remnants of the nubs. There were a few worn down nubs that were bent at about a 45 degree angle from the tire, but the majority of the nubs were worn off entirely leaving a base where I knew the nubs were.
I brought it up to the tech but my concern was skirted saying not all new tires have nubs. I showed him the remnants of nubs and he really didn’t have much to say after that. I would have gone to the office and complained but having a 1 year old and a 2 year old waiting for 2 hours can make you want to just go home. Which I did.
I understand the tires were not severely used but they had been driven on nonetheless.

I purchased 4 tires from Discount Tires 2 years ago. They have a 70 thousand mile warranty. Warranty my $$$. I have 31,000 miles on them I have taken them to Discount Tire every 8 thousand miles for rotation. Today they inform me the tires are worn out! WHAT. Not once have they told me they were wearing fast and wrong. So I ask the sales associate why I haven’t been informed before now. He says he doesn’t know but he’s telling me today I need new tires. 700.00 worth of tires shot. He says the manufacture doesn’t stand by the warranty for «alignment» wear. Ya I’m a dumb woman and has no idea it was out of alignment. Why go have your tires rotated when they don’t even try to help you by telling you about wear! I have to say I’m so disappointed in Discount Tire. I thought I was going to be taken better care of than at The Big _​tire store. Women beware it’s still a mans world ripping off women

I’ve been getting my tires for all my vehicles here for the last three years. They are always nice to deal with and take good care of my vehicles.

Don’t ever buy tires at #DiscountTire in Washington UT! I got a flat, needed a new tire that was under warrantee and they tried to charge me for a new warrantee. I disagreed with why I should gave to buy it when it was a replacement tire but was willing to. Now at this point I’m unhappy but whatever, I would rather pay the $ 30 than talk about it anymore…
Then the manager /​branch owner came over and started arguing with me about why it was wort it… That if I didn’t like it he could refund the original warrantee (leaving me to pay for the new tire), I told him that I understood the warrantee, and that I would have never bought my tires here if I had been told that they were not repairable and that the coverage was a one time use. Now this went on for another 5 – 10 minutes until I asked him to stop arguing with me… His response «I’m not arguing with you» me «yea, you are», him «no I’m not» me, «yea» him «no I’m not» me, deep breath «please, just stop» him «I just don’t know what else you want me to do» me «stop, let it go!»
WTF?

Friendly staff but very displeased with the service. Extremely slow moving. Took an HOUR to have my wheels and tires mounted. Will not be returning with this experience.

First off I want to say I work in customer service so I generally am very forgiving and always give people the benefit of the doubt. But I feel like I was played and manipulated here. I went in to get my flat tire plugged and they claimed I needed a new tire. I to them that was fine if they could have me out of there within 10 minutes if not I’d have to come back after work. He said he could have it done in 5 minutes and took my payment of $ 160… Well 20 minutes go by and now I’m late for work but I figure it’s going to be done any minute. He said he needed his balancer to finish the job and apparently he was busy. I was disapointed at this point cause now I can’t leave cause I already paid, and now I’m risking my job. 45 minutes later. My true still isn’t done. So I tell them I’ve got to leave. So now they finally finished balancing my tire an HOUR later. That was without putting it on my car after he told me he would. He then tells me it’s going to be another 15 minutes before they can put the tire on my car. So after being scammed and lied to I just took my tire and had to go to work. The tire was finally put on my car by Eagles Tires this morning who busted it out in less then 5 minutes! I highly recommend going anywhere but here! I will not go back to discount tire! I am very disappointed in there service!!!

Discount Tires has been recommended by many people I know in the St George area. The employee’s from front desk to shop are kind, patient, knowledgeable and get it done quickly. My thanks to MJ, Corbin and Brandon.

My husband and I went to get our car registered today and were horrified upon discovering that our car’s tires didn’t pass the inspection. Our regular auto shop doesn’t do tires, so they recommended this place.
I was a little nervous to try them out — upon hearing «Discount Tire» I imagined a tire shop basically run out of a shack. But I was so wrong!
What we found when we pulled up was a large, professional-​looking facility with very helpful and friendly staff who didn’t try to sell us anything we didn’t actually need. They seemed like they were busy but they assured us our car would be ready in half an hour so we stuck around.
Our 2 kids were with us and they had fun watching them work through the giant glass wall that separates the lobby from the work area, and they had a large box of crayons and scrap newspaper on one of the tables that my children definitely utilized. And sure enough, our car was ready in half an hour! I was so pleased with our experience that even though I don’t actually live in Washington, I can’t imagine going anywhere else for our tire needs now!

While out and about we managed to get a screw in one of our tires. I pulled up Unilocal to find the nearest Discount Tire since we have the road hazard warranty with them. Upon pulling into the parking lot I noticed they were very busy. There was a car in every bay and the parking lot was full. Brandon came right out to assist us. After pulling up my information, Brandon said it would be about an hour until my car was ready.
We went next door to Red Robin to grab a bite to eat and kill time. As we walked back over to Discount Tire, I noticed my car in the farthest corner parking spot, with a huge white truck next to it. I walked to several areas of the parking lot to see if my car was visible to the employees and it wasn’t. The drivers side window was left down and my car was unlocked. SAY WHAT? Look, I don’t mind that my car was in a far corner spot, but don’t put it there next a huge truck and leave my car unlocked with the windows rolled down for anybody to help themselves to what is in my car. Nothing in my car is «stock» and even if it weren’t you don’t treat other peoples property like that. I let them know I wasn’t so happy about it and I was simply told «don’t worry we take full responsibility for what happens to your vehicle while here with us»… I personally feel that still doesn’t entitle you to be intentionally careless.
With that said, the car was ready when promised and didn’t cost a dime because of the roadside hazard warranty. Just because you have a warranty doesn’t mean you can be rude and not tip the employees. Be a true lady or gent and tip whoever helps you. Having this happen while out of town, I was thankful to be able to come to Discount Tire and get the tire fixed to safely get back out on the road.
