When I take a road trip, I often like to take the back roads.
When taking the back roads I find that the best way to fuel such a journey is an orange or red Powerade and a Tabasco flavored beef stick. So one weekend that I was heading out of town I realized I needed fuel and saw this station.
The station itself is not fancy. There were only two rows of pumps and the place was packed with people. Considering that it was the only station for miles I wasn’t surprised at the crowds fueling up. What was surprising was how friendly the people pumping gas were. A guy pulling a trailer even offered to move to let me access the pump he was blocking. I realize that doesn’t really relate to the business, but it was something not usually found at stations locally.
Inside the station was reasonably well stocked with typical convenience store items. They had an ample supply of Powerade and an even better selection of beef jerky. besides the regular brands they also had antelope and alligator jerky. I got what I needed and headed down the road.
