My son has attended TMCDC since three months old — he’s loved it and so have we! The teachers work hard and genuinely care, the Administration is available and attentive to every child’s needs and the curricula is insightful and fun. It’s also NAEYC accredited and is very centrally located on the Hill.

Thurgood Marshall Child Development Center (TMCDC) is an excellent early childhood learning environment. It has a great reputation, established rules and regulations for everything from operating hours to how to handle emergencies, a qualified and dedicated staff, clean and safe facilities, and is one of only 7,000 programs accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the highest standard available. My daughter attends TMCDC and my newborn son will also soon, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the DC area.

Both of our children received quality child care at TMCDC. The staff is attentive and responsive. It is a NAEYC-​accredited program using the Creative Curriculum (also used by early childhood programs in the public schools). So we found our children were well prepared for starting school. It was also nice to be a part of a center that welcomes parent involvement.
