If I could give them more stars, I would! Diamond in the Ruff… that’s what they are! Ate there for the very first time today and they have now made a new lifelong customer! My cheeseburger… ugh words cannot express how delicious it was. First of all it was huge, and for only about $ 5(including tax). It was delissssssshhhhhhooouusss! I want another one, but I’m full. They need signs and better eye-catching items to attract customers to their deli cuz its hidden in the corner like PP have said. It’s only a block away from my job, so sad to say, I will be gaining about 20 pounds very rapidly cuz I NEED that cheeseburger on a regular basis. Sorry boyfriend :)

This place is soooo yummy! Very discreet location, friendly service, delicious food, and great prices… especially for downtown DC. My whole entire office eats this almost daily because it is so good. The only reason I gave it 4⁄5 stars is because after being in there, I seriously smell like the deli through the afternoon and into the evening. I get home and my husband knows I’ve been in the deli. Maybe they could get better ventilation or something.

Just found out about this sandwich shop from a co-worker and we’ve visited 3 times this pass week for breakfast. The pac the sandwhiches and they are under $ 3 the apple fritter is to DIEFOR so soft I don’t know who they get their donuts and pasteries from but I“M HOOKED. My co-worker says their Cheesburger are soooo good so I have to try them but they are a winner for Breakfast for me.

It’s so convenient to the school I work at, but it’s so tiny and discrete. Most people don’t even know it exists and it’s no wonder that no one have reviewed Sunrise. Sunrise Deli is hidden away and with a pillar blocking the view of the entrance most would have no idea it’s there. The deli is to the right of the entrance for the office building and has a modest one door entrance. It is Korean owned and operated and just like Mama Kim who’s down a few blocks these folks know their deli food. The sandwiches and wraps are always made to order and the ingredients is always good and fresh. You’ll be easily enticed by the smells, sights, and sounds of hot sandwiches, meats, cheeses, and fried onions sizzling on the mini grill. The owner(a papa) and the two cooks(2 mamas) are soft spoken people. I’m not a fan of the Papa owner. He never smiles and he looks like he doesn’t like his job, but the two ladies make all the difference. They are sweet and friendly(especially the one who wears A LOT of make up, you’ll be able to tell because, well, I know Asians don’t have such voluptuous lips and her lips are definitely outlined a lot more than they should be. But, she’s super nice). I went in and got a fish burger today. I loved it. This was a pretty BIG fish burger. Definitely, way bigger than the fish fillet sandwich from McDonald’s. For a salmon fillet with fried onions, lettuce, tomato, onions, mayonnaise, and Swiss cheese on a potato bread sesame seed bun, it was great! And it was only $ 5.49(not sure if that was the price with or without tax). The deli carries your average foods. They got Good Humor Ice Cream, sodas, chips, candy, cookies, salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps, and fruit for pretty reasonable prices. I’d say the sandwiches, wraps, and salads are steals for the prices they are. Most places in the area like Au Bön Pain, Cosi, and Quiznos cost much more for the similar items. Note: Don’t visit on the weekend. They aren’t open, and there is no seating, so you have to get everything on the go.
