This world-traveling, DC-native dance troupe is outstanding!(When in DC, they are based in the Atlas Theater.) The performers pour an amazing amount of joy and life into their shows, and their performances cover the range of stepping from its origins in African dance up through modern, familiar stepping. The stories they tell are vividly expressed through their dancing, through their expressions, and through the occasional spoken or sung words. The current performance is only heightened by the(sometimes haunting) incorporation of art from Jacob Lawrence’s «The Migration» series of paintings. I look forward to seeing them again!
