I bought 3 bags of coffee beans here in the last year. When I last went in 4 months ago they accepted my used bags and gave me a free tall coffee. Today, Feb. 27, 2016, they would not accept the bag and said they don’t have room for it anymore and would not give me a free coffee. I am not going to to buy coffee bags here anymore and plan to buy a different brand now, perhaps Rise Up.

This whole place smells like urine because they let homeless people SLEEP here. Gross.

Sometimes this Starbucks is great and sometimes they just blow it. The best thing about this Starbucks is they actually have a ton of seating and really dependable wifi! That is RARE in this city and for that they should receive some medal of victory. It is super convenient to the Tenleytown Metro so I come through this location at all times of day. Early morning is usually a slow time here, especially on the weekends. In the afternoon, they often only have Pike Place roast available, but they are happy to make a pour over of the light or dark roast of the day. One time my pour over was filled with coffee grounds, but the buddies happily re-made it. Their bathrooms are relatively disgusting and I have been in a few times when the baristas couldn’t remember the code to get into the bathroom. Seems like maybe that is an important piece of employee knowledge. Generally, the employees here are super friendly and quick considering that every day between 3 and 4 they have a flood of crazed youths looking for their afternoon extra sugar, vanilla chocolate swirl latte. After school lets out, you can pretty much forget about getting food here. The pastry case looks like a post-apolcalypic event. I think overall this Starbucks actually deserves a pat on the back and would recommend it as a coffee place in the area.

Becoming my new haunt, so to speak. Just starting to come here on the weekends as my schedule permits. Good feel from a nicely laid out store. Clients are all upper scale types. Nice area in the back to plop and plug in. The Baristas are college types. Young and eager, but could use some managerial love to make them better. But the counter staff was quick to note that the PSL syrup had dairy in it, when I ordered my latte with Soy milk.(+1 star to you, counter man) WIfi is pretty god, supplied by Google, and the overall storefront and selections are pretty good. They could revamp the displays a bit, but its basically okie Will I come back, yes. Do I like it here, Yes. Do I need to be concerned… only with the local 2 hour parking meters, which are still in force even on Satursday. More later. I have work to do now… darn it.

Come here and expect: huge location with lounge chairs, a fireplace, a long table with individual reading lamps for studying, decent size front patio, no Clover brewing What I got from it: I’m a huge fan of trying out different Starbucks for the location’s vibe rather than the selection of the coffee. I will only consider giving 5 stars to those locations with Clover brewing… so this location would get a 5! Alas, they have no Clover brewing, so 4.5 it is, rounded down to 4. It’s very spacious. This is a location that is comfortable having you hang out for awhile. I found it to be an ideal place for studying, intimate conversations, or just a well lite place for a great read. Service seemed amiable. I have only been here once and totally coming back. Located right off the Tenleytown Metro(Red)!

Ok, short review. I’m trying an iced chai latte because I direly need caffeine and it is hot out. This Starbucks is large and has the usual stools, high tables, and window ledges to rest your stuff on. They also have a fireplace and easy chairs around it. Neat. I like that the serving counter is towards the back so there aren’t 50 people in line blocking the door. Large outdoor seating area too. Some traffic noise since it is directly on Wisconsin Ave but hey, you’re in a city. Usual free wifi and the range of Starbucks offerings. I like this place due to the roominess. I also thought the chai latte was good but a bit too sweet for me.

Nice location, and all the goods you might expect. Just next to Metro. I like the large sofa and the two sided fireplace. They have a nice patio.

This is overall a pretty solid Starbucks location with nice décor, a fireplace(yes it has fire), a nice table that can hold an army of college students and their laptops, and some comfortable leather couches and chairs which are not seen in many Starbucks anymore. In terms of the staff, it’s nothing great. The night shift can be slow at times completing your order(especially if you want a pour over) but it usually isn’t too bad. The store could be cleaned more because sometimes it seems pretty dirty and disgusting. If you want to come in and spend time in this Starbucks, here’s my suggestion. Get a coffee(that’s a coffee, not a mocha nonsense thing), a spot on a couch or nice leather chair near the fire, do some work, and bring headphones to drown out the noise of the middle schoolers and crying children. There is also an overwhelming presence of homeless people at this Starbucks, which is weird, but comical. Can’t decide between a 3 and 4 star, so I’ll give it a three. If it were quieter, cleaner, quicker, maybe it would be better, but I’ll give it a 3.

Great décor. Clover would make it a 5. Great décor. Clover would make it a 5. Great décor. Clover would make it a 5. Great décor. Clover would make it a 5. Great décor. Clover would make it a 5. The Unilocal app is making me make this review longer in order to post. But I don’t have anything else to add. Apologies.

A year later this Starbucks is still consistently inconsistent. Very early, store clean, however drink still made incorrectly. Peppermint mocha should have mocha AND peppermint.

The service is good at this Starbucks, but it’s overcrowded with students, making it dirty, loud, and an unattractive place to sit and read a book peacefully.

Pros: 1. Lots of seating. 2.Pretty big when compared to other Starbucks shops in the area. 3. They have 2 bathrooms. Cons: 1. Dirty, dirty, just dirty! I am far from a neat-freak or germaphobe. I don’t have high expectations, especially for a busy place like this one. So long as I can sit down and enjoy my drink or read in peace, I’m good. But this place changes all of that– it is pretty dirty, and I’ve come here enough to know that I didn’t just come on an off day. If you come into this place, you’ll see exactly what I mean, The floors are always grungy for hours on end and often slippery. Table tops can be sticky, litter on the floor. I know the staff is busy, but come on. It’s pretty bad. It’s probably more of an indication of how dirty the patrons are, but the store should do a better job of keeping it clean. 2. Food items are often out of stock. I don’t know what’s up with this Starbucks, but they really run out of things faster than any Starbucks I’ve been to. Not unusual to come and have their pastry shelf nearly empty. I gave it a 2 because the dirtiness of this place really cancels out most of the pros. I come to this Starbucks if I know I’ll be in the area. Otherwise, I avoid it.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon and have never come across more incapable and unfriendly staff at a Starbucks than this one, even compared to those in NYC. I had to repeat my order twice and still got it wrong. Grande iced coffee and chocolate chip cookie hardly seem like a difficult order And giving me an attitude for using the bathroom while they called my order? Wow

Nice staff, good product. Did I just say that about Starbucks coffee? Something must be wrong with me. Somebody check my temperature. Nice place to study as there’s always a hum. Despite the heavy foot traffic, the place stays relatively clean. I even like their vagabonds.

I’m a fan because I’m practically in here every day and love it. Ever since I started at American, I’ve had more coffee. And with this love of coffee came a love of the ‘Bucks. No shame here. That being said, the staff here is wonderful and the baristas are friendly. I’m sure I’ve had a couple of bad drinks by some baristas who never lasted more than a couple of months, but other than that, everything here has been awesome. Which is why I come back. The only con about this place: THESEATING. For the most part, there’s consistent peak times(morning, lunch, after school hits and the high schoolers come in with their pizzas), but it could be a lot worse.

You know the Social Safeway in Georgetown? Well this seems to be the Social Starbucks at night. The baristas always make conversation with customers once it’s dark out, and it’s the strangest phenomenon ever. Sometimes they just act weird. The drinks here come out just fine. Service can be slow sometimes. They’re open pretty late for this area though, which is a blessing(though not as late as the Dupont Circle location).

sure it has sitting space and is close to the metro and has the nice green starbucks logo. but the logo does NOT guarantee that it’s up to starbucks standards. i am writing this review, for THIS particular location(which took me about ten minutes to find because i went through many pages to find the right one) because i feel the need to warn everyone of the sub-par service and drinks made here. it’s awful. just awful. after the first bad drink, i went back to try again, thinking that it must have been made hastily because of the number of people. it was worse the second time. it wasn’t worse the third time, but it sure as hell wasn’t better. i will gladly go with friends to this location, but this starbucks will never take another penny from me. another thing, the seats are always filled with people and it’s quite noisy. don’t go to this location. if you’re in the area, the starbucks on new mexico ave is slightly better. slightly.

Given, its the closest S’Bucks to my place, it works in a pinch. You have to watch what time you show up though. Anytime after 3 during the week, this place is packed with high schoolers from around the corner. Nice and quiet on a weekend morning though, and I like that.

As far as food and drinks go, it’s a Starbucks. If you hate Starbucks, you won’t like this location. If you’ll like Starbucks, you’ll like this location. It’s pretty standard. I have never noticed a crazy old man, selling weed or otherwise, nor have I see any need for a structural repair. On the other hand, I agree with Candace that the tables are generally pretty dirty, and it is often very crowded and tough to get a table.

Usual starbucks caliber coffee– excellent service and drinks. The servers are friendly and the atmosphere is genial, but I wouldn’t expect anything less. My problems with this SBUX are few, but they’re pretty large in the scheme of things. One of the problems is in the shape of an old crazy man who I suspect is selling weed to the highschoolers that frequent this location. My other problem is just that the place is always pretty dirty and in need of repairs structurally. Despite these things, it’s my local Starbucks and I’m always there.
