Good sandwich, quick if you are in a hurry, sometimes over crowded and people standing really close in a hallway that you order in basically. However the food was good and somewhat quick which is what I need.

This is one of my favorite places to go for lunch. It’s not only in my building, but the food is good and reasonably-priced. For lunch I usually get the veggie wrap combo which comes with a small cup of fruit salad and a beverage for $ 7.25. They have a pretty decent selection of wraps, sandwiches, salads, and stir fry. The breakfast prices are reasonable as well, and they even carry Starbucks coffee.

I am amazed no one has rated this before. It is an old standby between the Holiday Inn and the Federal Center Plaza. A rectangular«hole in the wall» running along the connecting hallway next to the Capitol Hill Holiday Inn. Good service, friendly staff, lots of sitting room. Their coffee is under license with Starbucks, so it’s also good for a quick java in case the Starbucks at the corner is mobbed, which is the normal condition every morning… They have a large HDTV on the sitting area where people can watch CNN while eating lunch. On a sad note, this was the place where I saw the first images of the tragedy at the World Trade Center on 9 – 11, so the place is ingrained in my thought. During breakfast, the counter serves all kinds of egg wraps and breakfast sandwiches, as well as a large selection of muffins and breads. During lunch, and outside of the immediate area, they have a healthy salad counter where the customer can direct the preparation of a wonderful salmon, chicken or shrimp salad with all the trimmings. They also have personal sized pizzas, numerous sandwiches, and a limited ethnic menu. For a quick lunch during a busy day at work, it is about the best place in the otherwise sterile area in SW Washington. I’m there all the time.
