I was very pleasantly surprised when I stopped by Shoefly for the first time. I had read it was great, but the selection and prices impressed me, as did the great service I received from two different people (managers?). I bought a great pair of shoes at a stellar price, and, since I am familiar with the brand, I trusted the quality.
However, after only 5 – 6 wears (in dry weather, before the snow), my new shoes already need to be repaired at the heel. I walk pretty minimally and take good care of my shoes, so these must just not have been well-​built. I would not hesitate to take back the shoes to Nordie’s or another department store, but a small store like this one can’t take them back. They won’t be such a deal after paying for repair. I am all for supporting local businesses, but when quality or return policy disappoints, what to do?

I met John (I believe he’s the GM or at least the manager of the Bethesda store) here to iron out the wrinkles I’d caused for myself at the Arlington store when I purchased some boots and later regretted doing so.
Since you cannot return items, I wanted to exchange the boots for some Tom’s. All the Tom’s are kept at the Bethesda store (that’s where Shoefly fulfills its Web orders from) but John was kind enough to arrange to meet me at the D.C. store with various styles and sizes so I could find a pair I liked (Tom’s sizes vary quite a bit).
John was super cool and I found a pair of Tom’s, as well as a cute wristlet from Oregon and a some girly gloves, and exchanged the boots no problem. Top-​notch customer service.

The place is awesome. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The shoes are so unique and affordable. I have bought a lot of jewelry from there and always receive compliments.
The only problem I have is that my feet hate almost all shoes. My feet will actually bleed from shoes. I think it’s there attempt at crying.

I cannot walk past this place without popping in! It just sucks me in! This boutique carries trendy brands of shoes at pretty affordable prices. On top of that, they have really cute jewelery and bags! I bought a purple (since purple is apparently the new black) big purse there and have received endless compliments which is great bc I love telling people where I got it from! My only «complaint» is that the ShoeFly in Clarendon is much bigger and carries more items…

Cute shop, good shoes, low prices. Not much else you can ask for. A nice relief from the usual high prices along U Street. If I didn’t have wide feet and always have to order on Zappos, I would buy more of my shoes here!

Two words – LOVE IT!!!
Shoefly is a great little DC shoe boutique. They not only have great shoes, but they also have great jewelry pieces, hats, handbags, and other accessories. The store is small, but the selection is not. I never have a hard time finding something I like here. The employees are friendly and helpful, and never make you feel rushed. In addition, if you are lucky enough to catch a sale, you are going to find some killer deals.
If you are a shoe lover like me, you will love this little shoe palace. The items they carry are unique and fashion forward, and you are less likely to run into someone wearing the same pair of shoes. There are some shoes and items that are more on the expensive side, but overall the prices are reasonable. When you are done, be shoe to go up the stairs to legendary beast to ogle an abundance of jewelry. It is impossible not to find something you like there.
Run over to Shoefly and find something cute to cover those dogs!

I love this shoe store. They maintain a good array of trendy shoes for reasonable prices. Not to mention their staff is very friendly and helpful.
While I don’t always leave with something in hand I have occasionally walked out with several new pairs to add to my collection.
Granted a few of the brands they carry are a bit too kitschy for me (Sugar??) and you have to make sure you look at the quality of the shoe since not all of them are of excellent quality. Overall though I have been impressed.
Note, if you stop in during one of their blow out steals you will walk out with some of the best deals, ever. Example: I purchased a pair of simple Miss Mooz pumps for only $ 30!

I haven’t been in here in a few months but I keep meaning to return. They maintain a trendy and affordable stock of shoes, sometimes similar to those you find in nordstrom’s junior department. I bought a pair of black peep-​toe pumps there that get me so many compliments (I’ve had women stop me on the street) and look WAY more expensive than they actually were. The same woman was always working when I went and she was super nice. I’ve also bought cute gloves and jewelry there. I think Shoefly is perfect if you are looking for a little pick-​me-​up but are low on cash… which is me right now and why I can’t stop thinking of going!

Shoefly is one of my favorite stores in the DC area. I have many shoes from there, and most of them I have received compliments on. the shoes are cute, and comfortable. the jewelry is also interesting and the prices overall are not bad at all. i love this place! i have not bought shoes elsewhere since.

I stopped in there last night on my way home from Threads. I absolutely love this store and will be back to purchase some shoes soon. If I didn’t already have two pair of new shoes on the way from piperlime I would have slammed down my debit card immediately.
All the shoes were reasonably priced and from reputable brands. I’m angling for the cute boots leather boots with the furry lined insides or some ultra comfy Mary Jane’s from J-​41 that were 30% off. All the shoes had funky quality to them without being too over the top to wear on a regular basis. I think this place will be seeing a whole lot more of me. I f you love funky casual this place is for you.
The service was a little lax. I don’t like overbearing sales people but the salesman seemed a little bit aloof.
