Great space, Lara and Bryan are the best. Super knowledgeable about the beans, and the warehouse(off the beaten track) is fun to poke around

Bryan and Lara are always so friendly and explanatory when I’m there. They’re excited about coffee and you can tell. They have a great assortment of coffees and I love that they put the roasted on date on the bags. Definitely worth stopping by! Just make sure to check their hours. They are rather irregular.(You can always order online tho.)

I have ordered from Rare Bird online through their website, and stopped in to their open house at their DC location(Off The Beaten Track Warehouse) on my way through the city. Their online ordering is super convenient, and the coffee is amazing. The owners work the open houses personally and you can tell they are really into all things coffee. They answered all my questions and I was able to try a cup of coffee before I bought a bag of a new roast. I absolutely love their coffee, especially the Papua New Guinea and I appreciate that they roast the coffee to accentuate the subtleties in the flavor profile. This coffee is hands down the best of any of the independent roasters in the area.

Stopped in today to check out the warehouse and grab a coffee, couldn’t be more satisfied. Friendly people and a solid variety of delicious coffee for a reasonable price. Wish we would have bought a bag of coffee! There’s a large rooftop space over the factory right next to the roaster — not sure if it’s open, but on a cooler day it looks like it would be perfect to take your coffee out on and read a book.
