Andrew(the phone fixer) was really well informed and helpful. He made what could have been a pretty confusing and expensive process really easy and made sure to help me understand when something was just expensive vs. when it was quality.

This is your standard RadioShack. The sole reason for reviewing this particular RadioShack is because I received excellent service when I needed to get my iPhone charging port replaced. My phone’s charging port was acting up and not allowing my phone to charge. I was in a rush to get it fixed so that I wasn’t stranded with a dead, useless phone while I waited for my new one to arrive in the mail. The tech-repair associate — Andrew(I think was his name) — was beyond helpful! He instantly figured out the problem and was able to fix it in 30 minutes. When we tested out the phone to make sure that it was working properly, we noticed the microphone was not malfunctioning. Andrew took care of it instantly and didn’t charge me an additional dime.(Since it was working prior to coming into the store). The customer service from everyone in the store was spot on. I will definitely be coming back if I need any additional tech support on my phone!

First off, it’s radio shack, so it’s pretty much what you think. It’s pretty standard. The store is decently stocked. Nothing partciularly special with regards to layout and inventory. However, the service was pretty decent. There was only 1 worker when I went in and it was a good thing, because I was the only customer. The guys name was Louis. I consider myself pretty tech savvy, but Louis was clearly a more astute techie. He fielded my questions promptly. He gave me a couple options and I grabbed what I needed. It was quick and efficient. Of course, while I was walking home, I amazon scanned the item and found it 50% cheaper($ 20 off) online. This always happens with things at radio shack. But I was already locked in. I used the store and it’s resources. So if you are looking for the cheapest prices, then clearly amazon has better prices. However, if you need some assistance and want to buy now, Louis at Radio Shack can help.

What a miserable place. In general, ONLY go to RadioShack if you need something immediately — aka you need a charger for you phone. Amazon will have everything you need, for cheaper. If you must go, good luck. The staff is always slow moving and«busy» despite there being no one else in the store. Once you find what you’re looking for, which is a pain since the store doesn’t clearly mark sections, it will most likely be locked up and require a staff member to unlock it. Once you get the attention of a staff member and they get what you want they begin the hard sell of some nonsense warranty on a $ 10 charger. Don’t buy their warranties, it’s never worth it.

They don’t have a battery for my cell phone. Arghhh. So this was the second RS I went to on Thursday. Neither had the particular battery that my Samsung requires. They have other Samsung battery for smart phones, just not my particular model. At least here, unlike RS at the Chiantown/Gellery Place Metro, the clerks were helpful and knowledgeable.

I’ve had super helpful experiences in Radio Shacks. Even when what I had come in for wasn’t in front, someone would check the stock, or call another location, or make some sort of effort of trying to help me find what I needed. That didn’t exactly happen here. They were nice, I’ll give them that. I ended up walking a few blocks and buying my much-needed equipment elsewhere.

I can’t say enough about the great service I rec’d last night from a lovley young woman whose name I regret not getting. She efficiently and expertly set up my new phone, while managing a very crowded store(two tour groups of teenagers) and never failed to greet every customer. Impressive!
