Love this place. Amazing house tea. For breakfast I had the injera with some chickpea curry. It was sooooo good and wholesome. The people that work here are just the sweetest but that’s not shocking because every Ethiopian I have met is so kind.

We are from out of town and stumbled upon this hidden gem for cappuccino’s and breakfast! It was authentic and sure was delicious!
Get the Fuul; it is a beautiful combination of fava beans, peppers, tomatoes and olives! Combine that with the Piassa egg special and you have an amazing breakfast to start the day!

I’ll admit I have eaten at only a few Ethiopian restaurants, but this one definitely wins as my favorite! I had lunch at Piassa today and I can’t wait to come back and bring all of my friends. The restaurant is kind of small, but has a pretty large outdoor patio (great for these 75 degree days in November!) and is super clean and well decorated. Service was quick and very friendly, definitely a «part of the family» vibe. The shining star of Piassa is definitely the food. I ordered the Veggie Combo which came with 5 different veggies served with injeri. With each veggie pile I tackled, I couldn’t believe how wonderfully flavorful the whole thing was. Against my better judgement, I finished off the whole plate and was stuffed. I’d highly recommend this new little gem on 9th St, I can’t wait to make my way back soon!

Absolutely delicious. They have a smaller menu with some non-​Ethiopian options, but their vegetarian platter with injera was so flavorful. Service was friendly and prompt, interior was nicely decorated, and there is outdoor seating.

Great service, great design, super nice people. Really enjoyed my visit. If the food was a little bit more reasonably priced would get five stars. The service and kindness of everyone there is truly above and beyond, and the coffee is great and reasonably priced.
