Decent restaurant with prices which are too high. After listening to the staff protest their wages for 2 weeks outside my office window I think I won’t go back. If I ever do, you can be sure that there will not be a tip for anyone. I find the Union tactics of harassing customers and the neighborhood which provides them business to be obnoxious and unnecessary. Replace them with a decent fast-food restaurant and save us all from the high prices, mediocre food and rude staff. «We don’t like your attitude!» Indeed!

Very disappointing… I had always wanted to check this place out, but it was really not worth it. I went to the bar for a drink and didn’t like the fact that the employees were hanging out eating in front of the customers. Definitely wouldn’t bother going back!

Very sexy at night, I only had drinks and they were a bit dilluted. If they can serve a «full» scotch, I’ll give them a 4-star.

Business lunch here this week — nothing special, nothing new. We both had the cobb salad, which is starred as some sort of Loews Signature Dish. Meh. Okay lettuce, sparse chicken and ranch dressing made up the dish, with a sprinkle of chopped egg, blue cheese and bacon. For the price($ 16), I’d opt for a similar cobb salad at Cosi. Service was okay — salads came in about 15 minutes and drinks were refilled. The tables were filled with others sharing business lunches, so I think this place does a pretty good business, and it’s in a good location. I just wouldn’t make a special trip for the food.

I have only been here one time, so take it for what it is worth. Four stars overall, because the food was awesome enough to cover quite a bit of service sillyness. The staff, from the hostess to the waiters, all seemed a little confused. At one point our server disappeared without warning and another server began working our table. No explanation. Not that that’s so very bad, but it was strange. To start, we valet’d the car with the hotel(and later were surprised that we could get validated in the bar/restaurant … free parking!) and went in for dinner. The décor was chic and tidy. Good lines, good sound absorption, plenty of light without being too bright. A few darker romantic alcoves in the dining room, several couch-y alcoves in the bar. The restrooms were cool and immaculate. The food was all outstanding. I had the pork chops with mashed sweet potatoes, and it was off the friggin hook. I’m not even a big pork chops fan. She had the Salmon, which was also yummy. The wine list seemed solid, we asked for a separate by-the-glass wine list and ordered from that. It was an early dinner(7:00) to catch a show, and a piano-guitar jazz set started about fifteen minutes into our meal. They were just enough to keep conversation from being heard at the next table. After dinner we skipped desert, and caught a cab to 9:30 club for a show, and cabb’d it back later. Then we went into the bar to check our heads for a minute before getting the car and driving back. The bar was just full with two seats for us, and each alcove had a few people. Most were drinking cocktails which looked fancy(martinis and mojitos, etc). The possible downside, being a hotel bar and all, was that the barman was making last call at 1AM, even though it was a Saturday night(Sunday morning). As I said, the restaurant validated our valet ticket so parking was free, so convenient.

Pretty typical hotel restaurant — lotta flair, expensive drinks, mediocre food. It’s a great place to settle down after work for a cocktail. The bar area is long and narrow, with many nooks along the left wall so your conversation won’t flow over to your neighbors. The dining room is situated towards the back of the room. My light dinner consisted of duck and spinach salad, which was pretty uneventful. Duck was very salty and did not mesh well with the spinach. I had a side of heirloom tomatoes which didn’t knock my socks off either. I wish it had more balsamic vinegar and a bigger splash of olive oil. Go here for the convenience, but not for the food.

This place looks sexy. Has a definite appeal to the inside. I’ve never dined here, only eaten off the bar menu, which sadly changed in the last few years. It was much more memorable 4 years ago. Their drinks are always impeccably put together. Their signature martini the Palette is my absolute fav. The couches and secluded/recessed seating at the bar make this a nice place to come to actually talk and be heard and hear the people you’re with. The service is really good, consistently. For a while I had the same 2 servers who always remembered what both myself and the person I was with wanted to drink. It was nice to hae servers with good memories!

First off, gorgeous space. The comfy couches in the lounge area looked so inviting and I was just dying to get a chance to rock their happy hour bar menu and liquid candy, which is what I lovingly call good martinis. Of course, I was an all alone out of towner(picture a tear rolling down my cheek) and since I was stuck in training w/a bunch of cheap asses I didn’t think I’d ever make it there. Luckily, my super cool friend hitched a plane from Chicago to come keep me some weekend company. We ended up enjoying a late Sunday dinner. The place was pretty dead, but for some reason they still felt the need to group everyone asshole to bellybutton. Luckily my friend and I were a little underdressed, so they kept us a few tables away from the general population. Unfortunately, I was still close enough to get a clear view of a manther w/bad plastic surgery, which kinda destroyed my appetite. Same w/the menu. The place was just too damn expensive. So…my meat loving ass ordered a salad and pulled the whole I’m on a diet chick trick. Even then, my two martinis, salad, and dessert still cost about $ 60 with tax and tip. My friend decided to try their NY steak at a cost of $ 35, and was pretty underwhelmed. Still, I was impressed with the service and beauty of the space, and enjoyed everything I ordered, so I’d prob go there again. After reading some of the other reviews, I now know this place is best enjoyed during happy hour. And without a manther in direct view.

I’ve never had dinner here, but I can attest to the amazing happy hour specials. Their fancy martinis are half price($ 6) and delicious, and beer and wine is reasonable($ 4-$ 5 I think). Our servers were always pleasant and the décor is interesting, making this a great place to go with co-workers at the end of the day. The appetizers are also reasonably priced for happy hour — try the sweet potato french fries!

Bring your own talent to make this date night an experience to remember. The ambience is standard sexy chic, and even the bathrooms are pretty snazzy, but if your single and planning to mingle you might find yourself spending the evening alone. All the usual suspects are on the drink menu. Happy hour specials are good but not great($ 12 drinks drop to $ 8) and the bar food borders on boring. Do try to have that special someone meet you between 4pm to 7pm so you can enjoy the nice big semi-private lounge areas with the ceiling to floor windows. The energy is gone by 8pm and based on other reviews this may not be the best place for dinner if you want to close the deal. The food was not sampled by this reviewer.
