This place is simple and delicious. Get the Noah’s Arc to share with somebody, then you can try all 3!

The Taste of Maine was little pricy but well worth the $ 24 once you taste each of the three rolls… shrimp, lobster and crab. I suggest getting it with no mayo so you can really taste the seafood. It came with two crab claws, chips and bottle soda too.

Had the Noah’s Ark, and all of it was delicious. The crab and shrimp were both fresh and flavorful, but the lobster was a step above. I mean, just wow! The Cole slaw is also pretty tasty too. Highly recommend.

Luke’s never disappoints when I’m in the mood for a seafood roll! I hadn’t visited this location before, but it lived up to the expectations set by the Georgetown shop. It’s smaller, but has patio seating. We usually get the Taste of Maine sampler, but I wasn’t in the mood for all of the sides. Instead, we got a shrimp roll and a lobster roll. Both were excellent. The seafood is so fresh and perfectly cooked! I love the big pickle spears they include, and the Maine sodas are also great! I didn’t realize that Luke’s also serves lobster tails, so we vowed to try those next time. But it’ll be hard to not order a roll, because they’re so simple but so perfect.

I am a very big shrimp and lobster fan so I had to stop here during my DC visit. The shrimp and lobster rolls were both delicious. The lobster is so tender and slightly chilled on that crisp/soft bread. The lobster is lightly seasoned for minimal distraction from the natural lobster flavor. This is definitely Maine lobster! I got the combo which came with a cola drink. Mexicane Cola. Maine root cola made with sugar cane. Very similar to the Mexican Coke but knowing it’s a US product makes it tastier. The only downside is my lobster roll with chips and soda was $ 20 so it’s rather pricy. The shrimp seems to be a better deal but the lobster is bangin!

Excellent food. We all loved our lobster rolls — the big chunky pieces were delicious. Hopefully they will outgrow their tiny location and be able to have more seating.

Stopped in after some site seeing for mid day lunch. Wanted to taste a sampling of rolls, so chose the taste of Maine — half rolls of the lobster, crab, shrimp, two crab claws, slaw and bottled lemonade. The seafood was fresh & overflowing out of the warm soft buns. My stand outs were the crab & lobster roll and thought the slaw was just average. Entire staff is prompt, friendly and the eatery is clean. Overall a good experience.

When in the East Coast, you have to get some sort of seafood roll! Unilocal pointed me towards Luke’s and I’m glad it did! Came here on a Monday night around 8:00PM and it wasn’t busy at all. There were probably two other families there also. It looks like they offer inside and outside seating, but the employees were already putting the outside furniture back inside. My family and I weren’t that hungry, so we just ordered the Noah’s Ark! It comes with 2 ½ lobster rolls, 2 ½ crab rolls, 2 ½ shrimp rolls, 4 crab claws, two sides(either chips or cole slaw), and two drinks. I had one of the lobster rolls, and it was delicious! The lobster was super fresh and the bread it was on was perfect. The bread was slightly toasted, so it was warm and crisp, and when it came together with the lobster, it was like a bite of the east coast! The crab claws were a little hard to eat, but were still very fresh. The chips were just bagged chips, and the cole slaw was average, I didn’t care for it too much. It was more acidic than creamy. We got two lemonades, and they came bottled, and it was a little different. Coming from California, I haven’t had lemonade like that before — I believe there’s honey in it? Either way, I enjoyed it! The portions are a little small for the price you pay, but it’s definitely good quality. Overall, great place to grab some fresh rolls, glad I got a chance to stop by!

Okay. Haven’t had many lobster rolls. My daughter and I stopped by because of the good reviews. We both love seafood. We got the lobster roll and crab roll– really tasty! They were on buttery grilled bread piled with fresh seafood and a dash of special seasoning. They didn’t add a bunch of crap mayo & weird spices. They were sooooo good. I think I could eat 2 – 3 of them.

I’m a seafood lover and have had pretty good experiences from this lovely establishment. I’ve visited the Georgetown location and food is on par but the service wasn’t as friendly as this(Penn Quarter) location. This location is close to a few metro stations and easily found next to a Taylor sandwich shop. The venue is small so this isn’t fitting for large parties. There is some outside seating, which is nice to catch a cool breeze during spring or early summer. Interior is cozy with a nautical theme and when you enter, a handwritten menu is to your right. The prices are a bit high considering the amount of food, but the taste and quality is one of the best in DC. If you’re having a hard time deciding, order the«Taste of Maine». A nice value meal that lets you sample a little bit of everything. My favorite is the Lobster Roll, Lobster Grilled Cheese, and Clam chowder. The rolls are served on a lightly toasted, buttery bread, and the seafood on top is fresh and chilled. The grilled cheese sandwich had large chunks of lobster inside gooey, melted cheese, and the clam chowder is creamy and hot. If I’m not in the mood for just chowder, I order a side of crab claws(always fresh, yum!). Come during happy hour 4 – 7, for half off micro brews! A nice final touch to meal as you wash away the last bits of deliciousness! Lunch hour is hectic as the venue is located by a bunch of office buildings. Be prepared to wait in line(as most good places have them here in DC). Happy eating!

Can you really ever go wrong with a buttery toasted hot dog bun stuffed with huge chunks of lobster? My answer is no! Luke’s did not disappoint. That hot dog bun was beyond stuffed, so much so I probably would have preferred two buns with the same amount of lobster. I loved that they had Maine sodas, really keeping with the theme here. Don’t fret though I think they also carry diet coke. I ended up getting the combo with the Maine blueberry soda and chips. It was a delicious and filling lunch. Seating is tight, but we went in for a late lunch and was able to grab seats without a problem. As we were leaving the place really started filling up again.

My work partner in crime Holly K found this place on Unilocal.Duh, obviously. We decided to start our Monday adventure here for lunch. We each ordered the lobster roll combo with chips and drink. With tax, it was around $ 20. The roll itself was delicious and loaded with big pieces of lobster meat. I could’ve eaten two, maybe three. Now that I’m writing this, I want one now. Great solid spot when you have a craving for lobster rolls. Thanks Luke’s Lobster for a great start to our DC work trip.

Solid Lobster roll and coleslaw but the part I was not too impressed about was the size of the roll itself. I understand lobster can be a bit weak on the serving size but the roll itself was just one slice of bread and I think the value proposition wasn’t on the mark. The taste however was good and fresh, no problem there. So try it but do not expect to be full. Have to order two sandwiches.

Finally came here to try the different rolls on Sunday. I got the shrimp, lobster and crab rolls with a side of coleslaw. The rolls were great with no fillers, but they were not completely filling. The food is a bit pricey but I understand its seafood so… I’m a fan.

What is all the hype about? That was my inner voice talking so forgive me. lol! Curiosity absolutely took over and made me leave my comfortable Maryland suburb to travel into the city for this carryout lobster roll joint. Okay, they have a table and a half inside if you’re lucky enough to find a seat, we of course set up shop at the neighboring Starbucks patio. Hahaha!!! We purchased drinks from Starbucks, so it was all good :) I had the lobster, shrimp and crab roll sampler platter while my partner in food crime, Tracy N, had the traditional lobster roll. I have to give credit where credit is due, this place lived up to the hype. Each of my rolls were freakin delicious. They were on the small side because it was a sampler platter, however, they were loaded to maximum capacity. I must say, I savored every bite, wishing this meal would never come to an end. The bread was lightly toasted but super soft, giving it the perfect texture. I would never make another special trip to come into the city for Luke’s but if I’m already here, then Luke’s here I come!!!

Best crab and lobster roll I’ve ever had in DC! If you haven’t visited Luke’s Lobster yet, then you’re missing out, big time! I’m surprised I’ve never come across this place, it was a craving my boyfriend had at the time and although he’s not much of a Unilocaler, he does have hunches on picking certain places to try. His hunch was on point when he chose Luke’s. The place is unfortunately small. Seating is limited, we were lucky to be coming in as soon as a couple was leaving, so we snagged those seats ASAP. It has a very beach-feel(which is surprising due to the city life going on outside) I loved the beach shack décor they had. The lobster roll was $ 16 and my crab roll was $ 13. Yes, the rolls aren’t super big especially when you pay that much for just one, but boy will you be saying«one more please!» It was so good! I’m still wanting my one more but the boyfriend was in desperate search for a good coffee. He owes me one more for introducing me to such a delicious place in my city, and pulling me away so soon.(Why! *Dramatic scene*) They have so many options that I want to try. So I cannot wait to go back! I especially liked their Sweet Leaf sweet tea, very refreshing.

As I was grabbing my iced coffee my co workers asked me to join them for lunch here. After seeing a lot of my fellow Unilocal friends check in here and my supervisor speaking so highly of this place I gave in. Inside the place is very small. One large table that wasn’t enough for all of us. Long story short I got a lobster roll and as you can see from my pictures the lobster pieces were huge and seasoned well. Here the lobster overpowers the sandwich not the bread like other places. Friendly employees! Jason told me no loyalty cards yet but stamped my receipt with a lobster imprint for next time. The roll was just perfect. Not drenched in butter or overly seasoned. Everything was perfectly seasoned. This place is so close to my job and very tempting to eat here everyday. I guess I will have to avoid the 600 block of E street. This place definitely deserves a bookmark &5 stars.

Looking for a quick bite to round out our weekend of food in DC, we found just the right place at Luke’s Lobster :) I’d actually been craving lobster rolls for a while and this totally hit the spot. Toasty buttered bun stuffed with big chunks of juicy lobster meat… a lobster roll is a beautiful thing. *drool* $ 16 is pretty standard/fair for a lobster roll. It was pricey for the size of the roll, but I was glad it was piled high with lobster, good proportions there. Nothing more disappointing than a big ol’ bread roll with sad little pieces in it. One thing I missed was some kind of sauce to up the flavor factor. I live in South Florida and some of the lobster roll food trucks here(which are surprisingly good) add lobster bisque, homemade chipotle sauce, garlic sauce, etc. It would be a nice touch here since the menu is so simple. Also, super jealous that DC has a brick-and-mortar store that specializes in lobster rolls. Whenever I have a craving for a good lobster roll I have to wait for a food truck meet up! Wish we had a Luke’s Lobster down in SoFla!

I visited DC recently and had lots on the«must try» list, and Luke’s Lobster of course was on it. For those that never had lobster rolls, they do run on the expensive side and don’t expect big sub of a sandwich because you won’t get it here. It’s all about the quality of the food. I ordered of course the lobster roll and it was delicious. The plumpy lobster meat overflowing on their toasted bun was generous and the added flavors the added was delicious. Since it was the size of a movie hot dog, I made sure to savor every bite. The décor of this place has the sea life theme going on. You order upfront and you pick up your food at the pick-up window. If you ask for a to-go bag, it’s 5 cents extra. This place is small, so if you have a group of friends, you’ll probably have better luck sitting outside and putting tables together or taking it somewhere else.

The lobster roll combo is to delve yourself into! I was savoring every luscious bite of the meaty, lobster roll. The bun could have been warmer and toasted to buttery goodness. Do the combo and it’ll be splendid. It includes a specialty drink(got their lemonade), choice of side(wanted coleslaw) and soup(opted for their creamy, chunky lobster bisque). Top notch for a splendid seafood meal. Ayce!
