This review is more about the customer service rather than the products. I am a huge fan of L’Occitane, especially their Divine collection. After suffering from acne, redness, and dry skin for years, the Divine cream was the sole product that helped bring my skin back to its near college days. Their Immortelle collection is also wonderful. As for the customer experience at this store, I’ve had a mix bag. One guy was extremely helpful and told me about the products that he himself was using, which led me to try the Divine cream. There was another lady who made so many mistakes ringing someone else up at the cash register that I decided to come back another time rather than wait and miss my train. Another girl was trying pretty hard to sell me the product that she didn’t even stop to think if I was already using it. Also, it’s somewhat inconsistent how they hand out samples. I’ve had sales associates giving me a ton of samples after a purchase. There are also those who wouldn’t give any out, even after I spent over $ 100 in skin creams — I had to specifically ask for them. I would suggest getting samples of the product that you’re interested in trying out. Their products are expensive, and it would be a sad waste to spend that much money after realizing that you’re allergic to the ingredients(or it just doesn’t work for your skin). Also, this small store tends to have only one salesperson at a time. So when the one person attending to the store is out on lunch break, this place is temporarily closed.

I am in love with L’Occitane products. A tad expensive, so they are kind of a luxury at times. But always worth it. This tiny little store is an oasis downtown. I can forget where I am for a few moments when I come in and browse around. The mingling scents from all the products is soothing. Perfect for gifts, even last minute. Staff can be a little random sometimes, but always pleasant enough. I adore this little store.

I went in looking for a Christmas gift for the boyfriend’s mom. The woman working there greeted me with«Bonjour.» I was impressed L’Occitane had a legitimate French woman working there. It was a small, but well stocked store. The store had a nice smell to it from all of the creams and lotions, but it wasn’t overwhelming. They had a lot of gift sets and the woman there was very helpful in giving me gift ideas, answering questions, and explaining the products. I ended up liking a lot of the products I sampled, so I’ll be back to buy some things for myself. I ended up finding a gift I liked, which she wrapped(added bonus because I’m not a good gift wrapper). It was also nice that they give samples with purchase.
