Best hair cut I’ve ever had. I had a disastrous hair cut in New Mexico and came to DC for meetings. Jean-Paul saved the day. I may have to fly back for hair cuts regularly.

Absolutely, Jean Paul is an artist. Having been to the best salons in Annapolis and Baltimore and always searching for that someone who just takes over with what looks good for me, I have finally found the right person ! I am amazed at the life changing look he has created for me… Life changing for me because I feel great! He is expensive and worth every dime! And, what makes him even more special is that he truly is kind and cares.(and the picture here is not the style he gave me today… Need to post but wanted to write review while fresh !)

Brilliant professional who took my somewhat lumpy locks and made me look and feel like a $$Million$$ bucks. Over 12 months now of perfection –subtle, rich color and sleek, free-moving style — I receive so many compliments. Color and cut every 3 weeks and one wash/blow-dry a week in between. He’s a true artist.

Jean Paul is a true master stylist! I went in with hair about 4 or 5 inches below my shoulder that was very dry and tired; I left with a very stylish short cut that I never would have picked for myself but truly love! He really takes the time to look at the shape of your face, profile and even the shape of your head, paying way more attention than any other haircut I’ve had elsewhere. Each layer of hair was cut like he was sculpting a masterpiece out of shapeless clay. My only caveat is that the cut does run on the higher end but I walked out feeling like a million bucks so I’d say it is well worth it!

So… I went in to get a haircut. I really needed one, and there was no one in there when I went in. I looked at the price sheet, and I saw that it was $ 175 for a haircut if «Jean Paul Mardoian» cuts your hair, but something like $ 80 for a regular cut. The woman who cut my hair was really nice, and styled my hair really nicely. However, all I needed was a trim… more specifically, I asked her to get rid of my split ends. She was quick! I was in and out in under half an hour. When I went to pay I was charged $ 175. …I’m pretty sure she wasn’t Jean-Paul Mardoian… especially since she gave me a card and her name was on it. I paid the $ 175… because I liked the service and I just wanted to get out of there. Yet when I got home… I saw that I still had a TON of split ends. :(*sigh* So… I’m pretty much going to have to get my hair again to completely get rid of all my split ends. I gave them 3 stars because the woman who cut my hair was so nice, but I doubt I’ll be returning.

Great Cut. Great Service. Professional. Passed by the salon when I was on my way to get an MRI and kept thinking that I needed a change and had a feeling this would be the place to get that change. I was not disappointed. This man KNOWS hair. He takes time to get to know you and what you do for a living so he does not give you a hair cut that does not fit into your lifestyle. I really appreciated that. He is a dying breed of hairdressers that were trained professionally, not by just being an apprentice at a hair salon, he was schooled in hair, and he has a passion for hair, you can tell every hair cut is done with care. I am not one to write Unilocal reviews but Jean-Paul deserves it!

80 bucks for a joke of a haircut. Go to the guy with the hat in the tunnel in American university. Trust me. And no, I’m not affiliated with either salon. He is friendly though. I’ll give him that.

Pricey haircut($ 175 for long hair) but it’s a quality haircut and Jean Paul spends at least an hour perfecting every layer of hair! He is so friendly and it’s extremely relaxing to have the entire salon to yourself. There is another woman that works there who also works as Jean Paul’s assistant but I’ve never had a haircut with another person there. I love his shampoos, conditions and styling products — the hair gel smells GREAT! Just a warning that Jean Paul loves to give bangs — consider yourself warned!
