Jack’s is a Golden Triangle life saver. Staff is friendly and the buffet is good. Some say overpriced but it depends on how much you eat. :) I love the salad bar, Korean BBQ, crispy chicken, and many other selections. They also make breakfast and lunch to order. Eat in or take out. Either way is great. Check out Jack’s near 18th and L.

Jack’s Fresh… saves me from going hungry in the morning when I’m too lazy to pack my own food. I come here often for breakfast because it is so convenient. A pound of food with container is around $ 7.67 after taxes, but it is pricier during lunch time. Their breakfast selection is nice. They do make custom sandwiches, but I’ve only had their buffet to go. There are a variety of sausages, ranging from pork patties, pork links, hot links, and so forth. They also have a variety of omelettes with slices of cheese on top of them — regular, veggie, etc. They also have veggie fried rice as a selection, in addition to fried chicken if you’re not into typical breakfast foods. If you’re into oatmeal or grits, they have that as well. I usually get a couple pieces of sausage, some fried rice, sometimes some fried chicken, hash browns, and tator tots. I was so happy when I found out this place had tots! They have a fruit/sweets section too, which contain a variety of fresh fruits(pineapple, strawberry, kiwi, whatever in season) and some canned fruits(peaches, medley, etc) and desserts — puddings and jello. They also have hard boiled eggs and egg whites in this section as well. Their lunch selection mostly contain Asian foods, such as fried rice, noodles, etc. They also have some rolls, which are decent. It is nice to select how much you want and pay by the weight. The food isn’t the best or anything, but the convenience is worth it.

Jack’s Fresh is a downtown lunch spot which sandwiches and a lunch buffet(price dependent on weight of meal). I came here with a coworker last week and was surpsied by the selection of vegetarian choices! You can order sandwiches at the back of the store, which include breakfast items like egg sandwiches and omelettes, and traditional sandwiches like ham and cheese, blt, etc. The lunch bullet has a lot of Asian-inspired dishes, like lo mein, sushi, sweet & sour chicken, etc. It also includes tofu dishes, salads, steamed and grilled veggies, etc. This is by far the healthiest lunch, but better than expected! It would be nice if they had labels for vegetarian options. I had a heavy plate of food(see picture), and it came out to be around $ 11.50. They only have indoor seating, which is not that great. The small tables are crammed, and at most, can sit a group of four comfortably. You could jam tables together for a bigger group, but I recommend it. Try it out! There might be something you like.

Fresh food, but I swear the trays are made with the heaviest Styrofoam and plastic containers because I ended up paying $ 12 for a collection of side dishes.

One of the lesser disgusting places to get to a quick salad bar and grill but would not get anything from here on a regular basis.

$ 16 for a chicken salad wrap that was sparse on ingredients — peaches and cottage cheese and a bottle of water… seating was crowded and made me feel like I was back in the military again eating at the chow hall!

The salad bar is pricey and the variety not that great. They were also pretty skimpy with the sandwich ingredients(meat on the club) for the price.

I’ve been coming here for years now. The food bars are pretty good with a nice rotation of dishes throughout the week. My favorites are the corned beef & cabbage, spicy jerk chicken, and General Tso’s. As far as the grill goes, get the cheesesteak, it’s one of the best in the area. I should also mention the breakfast bar and grill in the mornings. Excellent egg, bacon & cheese sandwiches on either croissant or bagel. And the sausages, bacon, eggs, pancakes, french toast and more all laid out at the breakfast bar are delicious!

I give this place 5 stars for one reason. The Korean BBQ Beef. I don’t even really like Korean food, but this is simply amazing. Sometimes they do not put it out until about 11:30, but it is always so perfect. Crispy charred on the edges… The flavor is amazing. I have tried some of the other food at the buffet, it always looks good and most of it is. Of course you should stay away from the really heavy items because you pay by the pound. If you go in here, just get some of the beef, its at the end near the deli, just leave some for me please.

Great lunch spot! This place isn’t too packed, it has a great salad bar, and Galbi beef short ribs! If you are thus inclined, there’s also a small deli that serves sandwiches. It’s a little over-priced, but if you’re in a pinch and are fiending some random asian food piled on top of a bed of greens(like I was), I recommend Jack’s!

Jack’s not a spectacular place but it’s decent for a quick bite to eat for lunch. The establishment has a hot buffet bar with a variety of foods and a salad bar which is what I usually grab. The salad bar has a variety of vegetables and toppings. They do charge by the weight so you will need to be cautious on how much food you get. It normally cost me about nine dollars with a drink for a decent size salad and a bottled tea. It’s not a place I would go out of my way for but for ease and convenience.

This place is ridiculous. It always charge me over price. Why only pay limited and when you use your credit card they will charge you higher then what you get. I would not recommend to go to this place. Thief.

I work across the street and eat here about 3x a week. I like the fresh salad bar, good variety of fresh vegetables including grilled items(squash/eggplant/peppers/etc). The hot bar has some excellent protein — roasted turkey, brisket and the«Mediterranean grilled steak». All are delicious(but also very dense loaded into your plate). I guess the only negative is that they make a tomato-avocado salad that looks excellent, but they douse it with some unidentifiable italian style salad dressing. I would prefer that plain. I generally skip the faux-Chinese and the seafood.

amazing spread of food, has everything from salads to pan-fried dumplings but, heres the most imp thing to remember about the buffet at jacks(and ive read this in other peoples opinions too) — if you come for lunch, DONT bother coming after 1pm… all the food will have already been delved into and they stop putting fresh stuff out there but if you come before, then its one of the best lunch spots in the city – i love it– its delicious, quick, sufficient and *affordable…just dont let your eyes take over bc then the weight will be alot and the price will be even higher *affordable –that you can eat a large well blanced meal for less then $ 10… for ex: this is what i usually get–«3 of those yummy panfried dumplings, steamed veggies, roast or baked chicken, mashed potatoes, and grilled tofu with kimchi» and that usually runs be about $ 9 i havent tried the grill, but ive heard its just as fantastic – since im usually eating on the go, its just quicker to make my own plate

I’ve only been to the salad bar but would eventually like to try their other foods. Every time I walk in, it smells so good. Their salad bar is always fresh. I especially love the avocado and tomatoes and their grilled items. It’s true no matter how little I get, my salads always end up to be about $ 10. I usually come here when I don’t bring a lunch. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is that you have to get there between 12 – 1 or all the good stuff is gone.

I had to stop coming early to work so I wouldn’t have time to eat here! I love their breakfast buffet. French toast, pancakes, biscuits, sausage, bacon, oatmeal w/optional apple cinnamon topping, ham, hashbrowns, and EVERYBREAKFASTTHINGIMAGINABLE! All in salad bar format. And I can buy pocky there too for afternoon snack. Lunch buffet is tasty too, especially the fried fish.

This is where I go when my coworkers can’t do lunch and I need to get my burger fix. I do the cheeseburger with fries combo for $ 6 bucks. It’s nothing special, just a cheeseburger with fries, they aren’t cutting their own fries or forming their own patties, but my needs are met. It is a step up from McDonald’s in the sense that I watch them cook my burger to order, and drop the fries on my arrival. When I get back to the office to eat in front of my desk the food is still hot. The buffet is nice; they have a hot bar and a salad/cold bar. I never do this because it’s priced per pound. No matter how little I get it still seems to be $ 10 and I always get too much and end up throwing half of it away. In addition, the restaurant always looks clean; they get a lot of business so the buffet items turn over quick. Only bad thing is you need to arrive before noon or it can be crazy.

I come here for their grilled cheese on wheat, get one piece of cheese on each side instead of two(the four pieces they usually give is way too many), then add tomatoes and avocados to it. They are always generous with their avocados and it’s a yummy meal for $ 4. I wouldn’t recommend the fries. they need to get new frozen fries. But the sandwich is great!

I have a problem. I am totally hooked on Jack’s Fresh sausage, egg, and cheese bagel breakfast sandwiches. I would shove your grandma into rush hour traffic for a couple of those grease-laden gut bombs. Believe it. I need to find a new route between the metro and my office. I can’t seem to walk past Jack’s Fresh in the morning without stopping in for my fatty fix. I have a problem.
