Not on par. Just not that good, no story needed. There are other late night venues near by serving food. But if your too lazy to walk 100 feet, then this type of food is for you.

Brought our kids here for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The kids portions were hearty and delicious. Staff was kind and overall a pleasant experience.

We stopped by this place after a late arrival in the DC area. Their late night menu is small but still offers a couple of good solid Irish classics. Our food was great and the waitress was attentive and helpful with our questions. Even the bouncer was friendly and engaging. We will definitely look this place up again when in the area.

First off, this place is large. A huge bar with giant TVs behind them. They also a bunch of dining tables around the area and an outside patio. They have all sorts of beer on draft as well as a full bar. If you are hungry as well they serve food till the late night. I ordered the wings and they were delicious, standard wings you would get at any wing joints.

Had really high hope for this place, but apparently you can’t be under 21 to eat here without getting an attitude. It is also apparent others get bigger cups for drinks than others. Don’t even grab the small specials menu because apparently nothing on there is going to interest you even though there is a whole entire page devoted to desserts. Another form of special treatment would be other tables getting coasters for the table but not for your table. This may not be the whole entire place, but the first time I went the waiter was incompetent, dense and contributed absolutely nothing to society except for perfecting the art of being a complete douche. Will NOT be eating here again and I haven’t even gotten my food yet.

The food is great! I had the salmon. I only gave 3 stars because my bartender didn’t engage in conversation. She wasn’t busy. I was by myself. All I got was«Want a refill?» No general conversation at all. It’s just important to me to be friendly.

Authentic Irish pub, not like tourist Disney and Hollywood versions: great beer and Wiskey served with a brogue, fotball on the Telly and Morrison, U2 and the Beatles all quietly playing so conversation is good. Mostly Locals, just like the pubs in Ireland.

Like Irish pubs, because they usually have heineken on tab. Ice cold too. Big place, room for big party and long bar. The bartender is cool as hell and laid back type. Good dude. Food– I ordered old bay, of course wings. Damn perfect crisp, flavor and super good. Great wings But then I ordered the beef and cabbage. Maybe where i live, I thought something ok. But no way, this dish is seriously made with some Irish love back in that kitchen. Meat was perfect, cabbage good, may need salt, and sweet potatoes and potatoes. Great dishes and good job by cook.

A great place to go for good food and a drink. Located in the Fairfield Inn in Chinatown. They have excellent beer choices. I’ve always had good service and the fish & chips are really good. Plenty of TV’s to catch what ever sports you want to watch. Wednesday night is trivia night. It’s very popular and the questions are pretty hard. They have good Happy Hour specials before 7pm. This is a good place to meet friends.

This is pretty standard Irish pub food and drinks. I wouldn’t go out of my way to frequent Irish Channel, but it’s a decent experience when you’re in here. If you’re coming here for drinks, the HH is pretty good, with drinks on discount and food specials to go with them.

Now, I’m really not a fan of hotel bars but this one makes an exception. The staff is always friendly, the food is solid, and they offer several weekday activities such as trivia and karaōke. Be warned that on an event night this place gets crazy packed! Try and get there early to reserve a table. But if you can’t, call ahead and they might be able to reserve one for you. We came for trivia and got the last available table, which the servers very generously set up and gathered seats for. The trivia questions are challenging(in a good way) but it’s a bit hard to hear the speaker in the back. They offer a bunch of happy hour discounts which is always a plus for me. $ 1 off most drafts before 7pm and various food specials throughout the week.

Really surprisingly good! Being a pub attached to a Fairfield Inn hotel, I wasn’t expecting too much in the way of food, atmosphere, or service. However, I was pleasantly surprised after a Tuesday night visit for Trivia Kings trivia, and exceptional service for our rather large group. While you’ll be pleased to find a huge selection of beer both on tap and bottled, they also have a respectable list of red/white/sparkling wines by the glass if beer isn’t your thing. I also liked that the ceilings and walls were decked with English and Irish football national league scarves and kit, along with patches and decals honoring police forces from all over the place. There are also plenty of well-placed televisions, and the bar seating allows plenty of people-watching and space to relax. Since the pub is attached to a newer Fairfield hotel, you do have the use of their lobby restrooms, which are clean and nice, Now — for me — the most pleasant surprise was the food. While of course they proffer the typical pub/tavern fare of fish-and-chips, bangers-and-mash, nachos, burgers, fries, etc., they also have an extensive offering of(gasp!) healthier options which are still quite tasty. I totally enjoyed my Blacked Chicken and Avocado Salad, which for only $ 13 included a plump, juicy and well-seasoned breast of grilled chicken, mixed fresh greens(no iceberg!), and almost a whole, perfectly-ripened avocado. To top it off, I opted for their housemade Chive Vinaigrette on the side, and it was phenomenal! No joke, people. To conclude such a nice evening of friends, food, beer, and bubbly, the trivia nights(Trivia Kings on Tuesday and CSN Trivia on Wednesday) makes for an all-around fun experience. Our waitress was wonderful and patient, and split our checks for us without any complaint whatsoever!

Small local Irish Pub tucked away on the outskirts of Chinatown. Has really nice outside seating which has a nice view of the Capital area background. The service was great. The bartender and the waitress who served our food were welcoming and offered some great local spots. The food was traditional«Pub» foods but with an interesting twist. Not sure what it was but they had some great pizza selections. Great place to catch a few and watch a game.

This small-ish pub is part of the Fairfield Inn and Suites where we stayed for a week. We ate there four times and had beers a couple of more. The wait staff were excellent, pleasant, articulate, helpful, and efficient. The food is pretty good, but I wish they served Scotch eggs(I know, they aren’t Irish!). It’s reasonably clean but a little dark. I wasn’t a fan of the trivia contest that runs a couple of times a week.(The questions were very tough). The place is packed ONLY when the trivia contest is on and empties out after that. They have live music apparently but we were never there that late.

Stay away! The food and service were absolutely terrible. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because when I realized the waiter charged the wrong amount to my credit card, I called the manager who was extremely apologetic and fixed the issue immediately. However, given how terrible the experience was, management shouldn’t have charged me a penny.

My friends and I went here for a «beer tasting» — I put this in quotes because it was a table right next to the door(a fire hazard i’m sure) and 3 different kind of beers being tasted from pitchers. But besides that — the service was alright. Not super friendly, but not horrible either. We did have a hard time getting our check when we were done. The shining beacon of light at the Irish Channel from what I experienced were the .55 cent wings on Thursday. Really great wings and blue cheese. Wings are like crack to me and I think these are fantastic. They look a lot spicier than they actually are. I would go back to this place solely for the wings.

P. S.A. Charville Skins!!! Not just your ordinary potato skins… Imagine the norm with just cheese, bacon, scallions and sour cream. HEY !!! WAKEUP! Charville Skins does that and more! The Irish Channel will add SHEPARD’S PIEONTOP!!! What are you waiting for!!! Get up and GETOVERTHERE!!!

Came for their Tuesday trivia night. I like the contest itself, the could stand to fix the sound system as it was at times hard to hear the host. Also not a fault of the bar but I wish they had a more private space for the game as it also hard to hear the host when other people are there just to socialize and not play the game. Game night is overall fun though. I went with the Channel burger, nothing special about the name, it is just called a Channel burger because of the name of the bar. Standard burger made to order, go with the medium rare, burger had decent flavor and was cooked well. Fries were warm and crisp and actually just the perfect amount. No plates here, food served on a chopping block. Place focuses on sports as there are TVs throughout the place turned to a host of different sporting events. Excellent place to catch a game as well. Come out on trivia night, and you’ll more than likely have a good time, staff is friendly and place was packed so fun can be had.

Trivia– really legit/one of the more fun trivias I’ve been to. Service– needs improvement. I’ve been here several times and the waiters seem to forget about your table. I do, however, love that they never give a hard time about splitting checks. Food/Pricing– why is a small chicken salad $ 14 – seriously, it’s just lettuce! You’re almost forcing me to be unhealthy. Then again, even your apps are just as pricey for being just fried pub food. Overall– not a bad place to grab drinks or partake in trivia. However, it’s not somewhere I’d want to go grab a meal, given the pricing for just bar/pub food(I may as well choose from any of the other dozens of restaurants in Chinatown).

I like the trivia on Tuesdays, it’s run well and it’s a nice place to have it. Henry is an extraordinary server! My friends enjoy this place. However, I find there’s a lack of healthy/vegan entrees to choose from. I don’t expect them to reinvent Irish/British cuisine. The portobello burger is actually very good — although a little expensive. It’d be nice if they had more vegan options and labeled them clearly on the menu.
