I like this place — the guys are friendly and helpful, which isn’t always the case with other Rhode Island Ave liquor stores.
I think the prices are fine, with random stuff on discount.
One time I was looking for a specific European liquor for a fancy dessert I never ended up making, and they don’t have stuff like that but were super friendly about it and suggested alternatives. Great selection of the basics tho.

This is hands down the best liquor store in the District. Cheap/​reasonable prices, decent selection, and great associates. I don’t get up this way often, but when I do… it goes down!

While it looked like a good selection and the other reviews say there are bargains, we couldn’t get in! Once you get inside the double front doors there is a glassed-​in lobby area with two glass doors on either side. The one on the left side needed to be opened from the inside as it pushed out into this lobby area. The other door, on the right, led into the cashier area and is where you are supposed to enter but there is a turnstile in there, apparently to control entry somehow. So, since one of us was a wheelchair user we gave the place a miss as it was just too much of a difficulty to get in – I think someone has to come and open the door on the left side! Very odd when you can’t even get into the store (and yet the parking lot has wheelchair accessible spaces and there are no steps)!

This is one of the best liquor stores in DC. If they don’t have what you want or are looking for, they are willing to order it for you. Their prices are some of the best. I drive from SE to shop here. The liquor stores in my neighborhood lack variety and have plexiglass. This store is open so that I can browse in case I don’t know what I want that day.
I highly recommend them!

It’s weird, this place does not resemble the place I would typically call one of my go to stores, but it is. They have a parking lot, and keep pretty late hours. The selection is pretty large with regards to spirits, but not so much with regards to beer. Prices are competitive. The staff is friendly. They usually have sales or specials. I do believe there is a credit card minimum though.

Love this place! Huge store, they always have everything whether your looking for a nice bottle of wine for date night of catering to a larger crowd for a party. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Even though I moved, I still shop at good olé reliable!
