Just came for an afternoon snack — chicken taco for $ 3. It came with a generous amount of freshly cooked chicken, and sour cream & pico de gallo on the side. It hit the spot, and I’ll definitely come again. The bar does take up most of the length of this long/narrow restaurant(with soccer on the TV), but there are plenty of small tables as well.

I just got back from this place and felt compelled to write a review in effort to counteract the others poor ones. Come here. It’s a great hole in the wall. Good size bar with a super clean open kitchen. Simple menu, fair prices, and large portions. Most importantly, delicious food.

Came here at night. Ordered: –pork papusa –bean and cheese papusa Food was not bad. I think this is more of a bar/drinking establishment…

I am so tired of people advertising Mexican food and then serving up meals in El Salvador style. Just say you’re a Salvadorian restaurant. Plus it was expensive. I’m sorry but if I order an entrée I expect rice and beans on the side. I also expect tortillas and not pupusas to use to scoop up my fajitas. You’all got it all wrong.

in one word: awful. Very slow service, chicken tasted like rubber… even the beans were bad(tasteless…how do you mess up beans???) The blaring music didn’t help, and neither did the fact that we rats lurking behind the building with the back door to(seemingly) the kitchen wide open! DC deserves better than this

The first night we went here, everything was pretty bad. They had just opened, and were so nice to us, that we figured we would wait a month or so and try back later. While the quality of food was a little bit better, it was still not impressive(to say it nicely). We were there for a considerably long time for the simple items we ordered and the disco lights were a little much. I’m bummed out, and I honestly hope that things improve for this place. Update: We both had some severe gastrointestinal issues shortly after writing this review. We will never return.

Pupusas: amazing. Now I’ve never had a pupusa, a tortilla filled side dish, but I now see where the crunchwrap go it’s inspiration. Pupusas($ 2 each). A– Revueltas. B Frijoles con Queso. A+ Queso. A– Not to mention the place was adorable. Latino TV channel broadcasting, Central American music pumping, rainbow lights blinking. Definitely want to go back and try some more.
