We’re at drafting table right now and from the outside(!!) pictured this massive roach inside the window of Drafting Table. We told the wait staff and they just shrugged it off that the roaches come inside all the time. Buyer beware.

Came here for brunch one Saturday and was more than pleased. I loved my Korean BBQ tacos more than any other brunch tacos I’ve ever had. Also the the waiter made sure my mimosa glass was never empty which I appreciated. The service and the food were fast and well appreciated and I can’t wait to come back.

This review is for the food more so than the bar only. We were looking for a place to grab a relatively casual, inexpensive bite on a particularly nice spring day. Unfortunately the rest of the population of Logan Circle seemed to have the same idea since everywhere was filled to the brim. That is when we stumbled upon Drafting Table which had an open table out front along 14th Street. We just missed the happy hour but still got a beer and a glass of wine between the two of us. The beer menu is okay — not particularly extensive but not tiny either. We were starving so we ordered the falafel and the fish and chips. We weren’t expecting much in terms of the quality of the food and somehow we still felt underwhelmed. The falafel was poorly spiced, clearly had been sitting out some time, and came in a very small portion with bland tasting pita bread and a pittance of french fries(10 small french fries total?). The fish and chips were even worse — as other reviews noted these were more akin to fish sticks then proper fish and chips. The fish portion was tiny. The fries were just okay. I have nothing against mediocre bar food but this was particularly bad especially when the fish and chips were $ 15 or so for what should have cost maybe $ 7 based on the portion and quality. I will say the server was pretty nice and the food came out pretty quickly at least. I’d only come here for the happy hour drinks and save my money and eat elsewhere.

Soooo, I’m local to this bar. I feel a little guilty for not rating slightly higher. There’s a lot I like about it. Soccer playing(even if it’s an Arsenal bar). Friendly staff. Some good beer specials at certain times. But… outside of special times, pretty expensive for what it is — a sports bar with a fine draft list. Irish coffee at brunch-time was $ 10-ish and lukewarm at best. I’ll be back, but not excited about it.

I am disappointed that this place has 3 star average so I’m giving it 5 stars so people don’t pass up a great bar option.

Came to the Drafting Table for our last day in DC and it was a great experience shared by all 3 of us! Waitress was great and food was delicious.

I would consider the Drafting Table to by «my bar» so please forgive me if the following is somewhat biased… So, supposedly 14th Street did not used to be a thing. I can’t comment on that because I’m as new to DC as everyone else, but if that’s true I think Drafting Table is the only evidence that 14th was ever anything but a crunchy granola hot spot for everything bougie. This place is down to earth and not trying to be anything that it’s not. The lights are on, the board games are out and you can bet there’s at least one soccer game on. The food is solid, but that’s not why you come here. You are here for a decent tap beer selection and to talk to your friends in the most casual and homey environment you can find in this neighborhood. I have yet to enjoy the outdoor seating area, but this could be a great spot for people watching on a Saturday night. I would recommend you sit at the bar and chat with whoever is up there. I have met all kinds of interesting people here, and heck!, maybe you’ll even meet me.

Walked into the drafting table last Saturday around 3PM to get a bloody Mary. The place was empty. People at a couple of tables and one person at the bar who was chatting with the bartender. Two of us sat down at the bar and waited for 10 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge us. Since that never happened, we got up to walk away while we were putting our coats on and heading out he looked at us like we were the crazy ones. Sent out a tweet about worst service ever. The drafting table tweeted back a few days later that they were sorry that happened. Nothing else was said nothing else was done… it was very shallow. We will never go there again… what a horrible place with horrible service.

Overall my friends and j had a lot of fun hanging out for dinner and playing games at the Drafting Table. However, we all got the Fish and Chips, and some people had significantly larger fried fish pieces while others had really small portions. Mine looked like fish sticks! The kitchen didn’t even look to balance it out. I recommend the Frickles(fried pickles) for sure, but I will likely not order the fish again when I go back.

Drafting table is a great hangout spot if you are the logan circle area looking to grab casual drinks and food. The selection is great, and prices are very fair(for beer they have their own in-house lager which runs $ 4/pint during non-happy hour periods of the day). If you are into board games, they also have a variety of those to play at the table!

Sometimes, when you’re looking for a night out with friends, all you need is a a casual environment with big tables and a good selection of food and brews to make it a fun time. The Drafting Table definitely succeeds on all of those fronts, and I had a memorable DC happy hour experience last year. What really sticks out for me when I think back on that night was the chill environment and excellent service from the waitstaff. I had already eaten before arriving, so I can’t comment on the food(although my friends at the table seemed to enjoy what they ordered!). I would definitely go back to the Drafting Table if I was looking for a place to hang out with friends or get a couple of drinks after work.

Fun spot that is great for groups since they have big tables. It is a little small inside, so it gets loud pretty quickly — I would recommend this place more for socializing and less for doing something like watching a sporting event. I went with friends to watch one of the debates and it was impossible to hear. Menu is small and kind of odd… I like the things I have gotten there(burger, duck grilled cheese) but wish they had a little more selection. Maybe I’m boring, but I’d love it if they had a little more choice in ‘classic’ bar food :) Overall it’s a nice bar in a great location that attracts a fun crowd. Staff is very friendly as well!

Great food, great service. The 1 star is solely for sanitation. As we were concluding our meal, a massive cockroach came out if no where. Please fix that.

Came here this morning to meet up with a friend for brunch after a workout class(oops). Not knowing that it is an Arsenal bar and there was an Arsenal game, it was extremely packed at 12:00 on Sunday afternoon but we managed to squeeze into a table. Because I’m a big dummy I had scrambled eggs earlier in the morning before heading out fully knowing I was heading to brunch later… so needless to say I was not up for any of their delicious sounding egg dishes/sandwiches but I did settle on the wings. They mixed up thai and medium sauces and were quite tasty! We also ordered a couple beers and because we waited around for a bit until being served, he comped us each a beer … we didn’t even notice the lag in time but really quality service on their part. I will definitely be back for brunch and to grab a casual beer.

Arsenal bar. They show other games but on smaller tvs. Food is about four stars. We got the Hiillybilly benedict which is a sausage gravy over eggs and the Croque Madame(ham, cheese, sunny side egg). The bartenders were awesome and so friendly. Definitely a fun place to eat some brunch, drink some complimentary mimosas and watch some EPL. Apparently, everybody does a shot if Arsenal wins and we certainly witnessed that.

Good selection of beers. Convenient late night happy hour specials on Sundays($ 4 Drafts). I was a fan of the fish and chips. The fried PB&J was not my favorite. Decent play to watch NFL games.

I was here recently and the noise was very, very loud. At first I thought it might just be because there were a good number of people and those people were just being loud. But no, the place cleared out, and even with just a few people, the music the Drafting Table was playing was very loud. It was hard to hear anyone talk. The menu looked innovative(although I didn’t see any vegan labeling or things me and friends could eat). I suppose my recommendation would just be not to come here in the evening if you want to be able to hear the people you are with.

Staff is so wonderful. Katie and crew are just amazing! My drink was never empty and my food was always out promptly. The food was equally as beautiful as it was tasty! If you haven’t been here before, do yourself a favor and make your way down 14th St. For a visit– you won’t be disappointed!

Finally getting around to writing a review of Drafting Table, after YEARS of so-so and bad experiences. This place always seemed understaffed and uninterested. Take this past saturday for example. The BIGGEST soccer game of the YEAR is on at 2:45 pm(and Drafting Table likes to advertise themselves as a soccer bar), and they have ONE bartender working, and I think maybe 2 waiters. ONE bartender for the entire restaurant of dozens and dozens of rowdy soccer fans(well, not that rowdy, but you know what I mean.) To the guy’s credit, the one bartender did a great job and staying calm and trying to get to everyone as quickly as he could, but I have no idea what type of managerial skill it takes to staff one bartender on a busy Saturday. In fact, now that i think about it, i saw no manager on site(who hopefully would have helped out at the bar.) The food at DT is actually not terrible, but there’s just no reason to go back here, oh, except that its really the only sport-like bar on 14th street. Darn.

This like so many other bars is a decent place but nothing overwhelmingly special. Layout is simple, long bar that moves towards the back of hte building, sit down tables in the front and high tops across from the bar. While not overly large, you could fit a nice group in if you want to enjoy the company of friends. Service is decent as well, nothing special, nobody went out of their way to make me feel special but everyone was friendly and as helpful as they could be. Standard bar food, I went with a regular burger with some onions and bacon on top. Burger was surpringsly juicy and flavorful, I wasn’t expected such a quality patty. Fries were nothing special and just okay. Overall this place is just okay, they have TVs so I could see it as a place to enjoy a game or grab a bite with friends but nothing that will blow you away.
