Ok but not above average. Friendly doctors and staff but only ok treatment, and at a high cost.

Dr. Donald Liang is awesome. Minus one star for the cost, however. Check out my review for Dr. Donald Liang at his Potomac office for more about how I heard and decided on getting my braces from him( ). «See, the trick is to trick nature,» he said. When you feel pain in your teeth and jaw from shifting on the teeth your body naturally sends out a signal and calcium gets sent to those teeth. This can cause the teeth to shift and move slower, prolonging your orthodontic treatment. Dr. Liang patiently told me that to get the best results we as patients need to do exactly what we are told and that is to be a patient patient. He assured me that moving the teeth too far too quickly and making the process an overly painful one was not the way. With that said I got my braces late July of 2008 and my teeth are shifting pretty well. I’m expecting my orthognathic jaw surgery from Dr. David Kung late this coming summer. My orthodontic treatment with braces should be finished by the end of this year or early in 2010. That’s about a year and a half of braces if things go as planned. That’s great for a person who had barbarian teeth and a Class III Jaw with an underbite. Dr. Donald V. Liang works with his son Dr. Christopher Liang(read my review for him). They work out of three locations and the Friendship Heights office is one of them. They also have an office in Potomac and one in College Park. You can visit them at any of their three offices. The office in DC is shared with another orthodonitists who uses it on days that the Liangs are not. The office is conveniently located and you’ll have to find street parking. I’ve always been able to find parking on the side streets or right in front of the office. Since there are no appointments after 3:30 you don’t have to worry about rush hour as much. It is a clean office with older looking chairs and furniture. Black and white photos of Dr. Blackwood’s family and children are scattered throughout the room and give you a sense of how long he’s probably had the office. I believe Dr. Liang brings a lot of his own tools so don’t worry. Dr. Liang and his son Dr. Christopher Liang are only in the DC office on every other Mondays and every other Wednesdays. As I sat reclining in the patient chair with my mouth opened I could not help but think to myself and laugh. I apologized, «sO-y, I kkkknt sOk lahhing.» He replies, «Are you laughing because you’re wondering what cruel person could have came up with such a cruel type of treatment?» He pauses and takes his tools out so I can answer. «No, I’n tinking adout how I’n goin’ to thhhhe deutithul.»
