Diti Devi Makeup Artistry

I had the pleasure of meeting Diti in 2012 at Bloomingdale’s MAC counter. Diti has been a monumental help when it comes to learning the art of makeup application. She has been and continues to be an amazing teacher and listener — nothing worse than finding a makeup artist who thinks they know what’s best FOR you instead of working WITH you. She is sweet, understanding, professional and most of all patient. She was great at listening to my concerns, my wants/​needs and offering sound solutions that I use to this day. I always recommend anyone within the DMV area to Diti.

Recently I hired Diti to do my makeup for an important event. Diti was extremely professional, easy to set up an appointment with, arrived early and listened carefully to my preferences. Her application was absolutely flawless and exactly what I had described — actually even better than I had imagined. Not only did it last all night, it still looked great the next day! She is a true gem as well as a real artist and I look forward to using her services again for years to come.

I have gone to Diti for a few different occasions and truly appreciate her professionalism and ability to set me at ease. She doesn’t do whatever she wants, she does what you need. She explains what she’s doing and never lets you feel lost. I have recommended her to several people and look forward to working with her again!

I was very fortunate to discover Diti’s talent at the MAC counter in the Tyson’s Bloomingdales. Not often do I appreciate the application/​talent of makeup artists, but Diti was very different. She listened to what I wanted and gave me options to select from. She impressed me so much that I asked if she would drive to St. Michael’s MD to do my makeup for my upcoming wedding. She cleared her schedule and made the trip… which I am still grateful for. Diti arrived very early on the day of the wedding which made me feel so much better. She was equipped with everything… beautiful and clean brushes, a cache of makeup that I was envious of, comfortable chairs, etc. She had it ALL! She did my sister and daughter first (both are quite picky about their makeup and both were beyond impressed with the results). Then she began to work on me!!! :-) I was blown away! I love applying my own makeup, but what she did for me was amazing. She and I agreed that my look should be very natural because she wanted me to look like me! I did look like me but a nicer, more radiant image. I know it is hard to pull off that «natural» look that many of us strive for and admire, but Diti knew how to do it. From the foundation to the subtle glow on my cheeks to my fantastic eyelashes, it was perfection. Even when I look at my pictures today, I am so thrilled with the outcome. AND… it lasted well past the party.
Even better… Diti is an absolute dream to work with. She is so kind, professional and talented. She offered me tips as we went which I still use today. To prove her level of service, she even offered to stay and babysit my niece’s toddler when the hired babysitter did not work out. That is service!
Bottom line… Diti was worth every penny (price is very reasonable) I paid for this wedding day pampering. She allows you to see the real you… only better! I will continue to refer and use her for upcoming events. I feel sure that with her talent she will be in high demand very soon… and she should be! Thanks Diti for making my day better!
