What a let down to the brand. In on Thursday. Sat a bar and eventually ordered food. First, the ahi tacos were average. Nothing was special including the sauce. The chopped Caesar salad was above average but not great. Last, the bartenders were complete idiots or just didn’t care. They asked me on a night when the bar was less than 50% full what the last name on my tab was at least 4 times. When I told them the tuna tacos were just«ok» the response was a freaking smile! Sorry mr. Del Frisco. You missed the mark with the extremely poor service on this one.

Came here with a very large party for a birthday dinner. For the most part they handled the large group very well. They refilled waters frequently, were able to give us separate checks, and as far as I know didn’t screw up any orders. I ordered the deviled eggs for an appetizer. They were okay, but they had a sauce that wasn’t exactly to my liking. I also ordered the lamb burger. It was pretty good, although it could have been a little juicier and with more tzatziki sauce. The one major issue I had with the place was the noise. It was really hard to carry on a conversation. The music was too loud and the acoustics were not good. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I would try this place again and order other items.

So I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday din din at this restaurant. The ambience is very nice and the food was sooo soooo good. I had a party of 10 people and being the foodie that I am… I tasted everyones food. Lol. I started off with a drink called the VIP which is infused with Hawaiian pineapple vodka. Deelish! I also tried a drink that had a popsicle in it. It was the . Try it! For appetizers we got the cheesesteak eggrolls which made me want to slap somebody. We also had the lollipop chicken wings, wedge salad and the steakhouse salad. All of our food was superb. After trying all the food. I was too full to order dinner. lol however my friends ordered the green chilli cheeseburger, truffled mac & cheese, shaved prime steak sandwich and sea salt & parmesean fries. One of my friends has food allergies so the chef personally came over to our table to tailor the dish to her liking making sure it was gluten and soy free. Whewwwww. Great food, good convo and FAB drinks = a perfect evening for Muah! I cant forget dessert. The lemon cake was EVERYTHING. The nutella bread pudding was meh. not good in my opinion. Lacked flavor and it was kind of hard.

Good steak but the potato side was cold, like it had come out of a freezer and was reheated.

My New Year’s lunch at Del Frisco’s did not disappoint! Seems as though everyone knows about their double eagle location in city center but the Grille on Penn ave is just as good and has more of a relaxed vibe to it. The layout is quaint but the bar can support a decent crowd and they have plenty of tables that can be pushed together for larger dining groups. There’s a quieter section just up a few steps but it seemed disconnected from everything so we sat near the bar. I glanced over the menu and narrowed in on Ribs… but of course it was Thursday’s daily special and we came on Fish n chips Friday *eye roll*. Nevertheless we had made some pretty tasty choices which our server recommended. I had the brick chicken and the beau had the salmon. He wasn’t very happy about the size of the salmon but since it was lunch the portions are smaller so keep that in mind. I was very pleased with my Brick chicken, it was the perfect size and very filling. The Au Jus that is drizzled on top lacked a bit of seasoning but salt & pepper helped. I washed everything down with their Tennessee Peach cocktail which i WILL be back for. We didnt get dessert which i now regret after seeing pictures of their warm chocolate cake with ice cream. I’ll definitely be back to try more and experience their great service.

Visited Del Frisco’s for dinner on Christmas Eve. Food was amazing and service was on par, even considering the holiday. I had the Baby Back Ribs and they literally fell off the bone they were so tender. My husband had the Shaved Steak Sandwich and it was gone by the time I blinked. We will definitely be back!

I have lived in DC for several years and while we have many nice spots, it is rare to find a spot that is that perfect balance between casual and fine dining. Del Friscos grill is that spot. I find it a perfect place for a nice lunch on their patio but dinner is just as good. I have had everything from their steak to their salads to several of their appetizers. The flat bread is good and the lamb burger is delicious as well. Service is always spot on(except for one dining experience where everything seemed to go wrong, but they made up for it) and the food is always solid. I highly recommend this Del Friscos grill for a nicer lunch or dinner. Another plus is that it is rarely super packed so you can normally get a table with relative ease.

I thought Del Frisco’s was supposed to be some great restaurant. We were parked nearby to go to a couple of museums on a Sunday. On the way back to the car, we decided to see what was going on there. We saw fish tacos listed on the outdoor menu, which is what drew us to eat there. After sitting down and poring over the menus given to us by our server, my wife asked about the fish tacos that we could not find on there. The server informed us that they did not have them anymore and apologized. I went and ordered the cheeseburger with a side salad and my wife had the kale salad. We got our food between 10 – 15 min later. My burger immediately looked off to me. I honestly think it had sat out for a good while and then was microwaved. The bun was cold and hard(like what happens to bread when you microwave it), and the meat was barely hot. The cheese looked like it had melted almost thirty minutes prior. Take what you want from this. It probably was just a one off thing but I easily could have gone to Shake Shack and gotten a 3x better product, especially for the price.

Think steakhouse and New York’s 5th Ave. This part of DC’s New York Ave is building up very nicely. This duplex floor plan is very chic. The second level has awesome views of China Town and New York Ave. while the lower level allows you to people watch as folks head into the surrounding high end shops. Del Frisco’s does not disappoint. Fabulous service and great food. My lunch time fave is the petite medallion trio and I end every meal with the fantastic butter cake. Definitely to be shared. The guy had the Prime Steak Salad and said that it was the best salad he’s ever had; the steak was prepared flawlessly. Definitely recommend you experience Del Frisco’s.

I would rate the food 4 stars but the service we had was less than average so I couldn’t justify giving the 4 stars! This was our second time at this location and we were excited for dinner because we had enjoyed our experience here the first time(you can see my first review). We got there around 6pm on a Sunday night and the restaurant was fairly empty. The hostess sat us in the bar area which was fine because we could watch the Sunday night football game and had a great view of Penn Ave. Our waiter I think was also working the bar so he came right over and took our drink and entrée orders and left. Another couple had sat down right around the same time as us and the waiter got their orders right after ours. After about 10 minutes the table next to ours got all of their orders and we had just only received our crabcake appetizer and small salad. We had ordered the Prime Steak sandwich and Jumbo lump crabcake to share so we assumed the waiter figured to bring everything together. We waited another 25 minutes and still no sign of the prime steak sandwich. At this point the table next to us were just about finishing their food and so my fiancé went up to the bar and asked the waiter if he forgot about our order. The waiter then said he thought we wanted the sandwich later and said it’s almost ready and on the way. Hm, hard to believe that we would want to wait 35 minutes for a sandwich??? Not even a Prime rib or filet. Anyways, the sandwich finally came out and was pretty delicious but I could tell it had been sitting in the warmer for quite some time. Pretty disappointed at the lack of service we received considered the waiter only had one other table besides us. I get that he was working the bar as well but… he made like 4 drinks and the rest of the time he was poking toothpicks into an ice tray possibly making some type of dessert shot or something. Food is pretty good but not worth the disappointing experience here.

Today was my first day in DC and I came across Del Frisco’s while I was walking through the city. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Nice patio outside, beautiful wine room when you first walk in, multiple seating areas in the restaurant that give view of the open kitchen, bar, or city walkway, and floor to ceiling windows to keep that fun city feel. The service was great. I was a little late for lunch so the restaurant was pretty empty and I had everyone’s attention. I was sat immediately at the table of my choice and before I could blink my server already had a water in front of me. Throughout my meal the staff was attentive and on point. When I needed sauce for my sandwich It didn’t take more than a few minutes before it was on the table in front of me. The food on the other hand, might need a little work. Let me start with the disclaimer, this was apparently the first day on the new menu. I only ordered the bahn mi sandwich with the Parmesan frites per my servers recommendation. The frites/fries were delicious! The sandwich was not my favorite. Seasoned pork was the protein for the sandwich and the flavor was delicious, but the consistency was a little off. It was kind of mushy. I can’t figure out if was suppose to be ground or pulled or what. My biggest complaint was that the bread and the veggies. They just didn’t stand up to the pork. The bread was not toasted enough and there weren’t enough veggies to give the sandwich that needed crunch. The sandwich was also a little dry, but nothing a little extra hoisin didn’t fix. Hopefully they’ll iron out those details and they should be good to go!

My friends and I went here for a private event: Paint and Pinot. It was actually a great place and close to home. There were food served. We had a couple of different foods, but I mainly remember the lamb burger. It was delicious. Service was great and it was very welcoming. They do have a locker for your belongings if you wanted to put it away while you have dinner. I actually didn’t pay for anything but I would definitely be back to check out the restaurant.

I really enjoyed this place. Got here around 9 pm on a Saturday night and there was no wait. Real good location and right next to McPherson metro stop. Our plan was to have dinner and then visit the memorials at night, but our food comes ruined that plan. Shared the Mac and cheese and brussel sprouts. The Mac is made with some sort of truffle oil so it has a little bit of pungent string taste but creamy and cheesy. The brussel sprouts were cooked with bacon so of course you can’t go wrong there. I got the kale salad. Had to keep it light to save room for dessert ;) it was filling and pretty hearty fire salad. We shared the warm chocolate cake for dessert. They don’t bring bread to you but we asked for some and it was a crisp ciabatta bread. Very tasty. Our server was knowledgeable, a little awkward but he had a great suggestion on wine and really knew the menu. The bathrooms were nice and very clean as well. No complaints. I would be back.

I’m going to be generous here and round up to 4 stars but this place is a 3.5. I’ve been here for lunch many times, dinner a couple times and late night drinks a couple times. The restaurant has a nice vibe. It’s wide open and has an open kitchen area where you can see meals prepared. A pricey but good selection of wine. The bar is well lit and open and they have plenty of outside seating as well. It’s not usually too busy. As many have said the service can be suspect. Unless you are on a date or with a group I suggest you sit at the bar for faster service. Prices are in the high side. The food is good but not memorable. Cheesesteak Eggrolls are decadent and not something you see everywhere so give it a try. Lobster Bisque for $ 14? Go to Capital Grill for s real bisque. Ahi Tuna Tacos are very popular here and worth a shot. If you are here for lunch they have a business lunch with Soup or Salad and an Entrée for $ 25. That’s the way to go. It’s worth a try at least once to make your own decision whether this is a top place. It’s across from my office so I will continue to eat here from time to time but if I had to make a special trip is probably go elsewhere.

Nothing special. Okay-ish food, okay-ish drinks, okay-ish service. There really isn’t much of a set vibe here, just another restaurant attached to an office building in DC. I got the tuna tacos, and boyfriend got a burger. We actually came here in the first place because he wanted a burger. Tuna tacos were pretty yummy, I was just disappointed by the serving size. Boyfriend’s burger wasn’t bad, but wasn’t amazing either. I would think a restaurant with the«Del Frisco» name attached to it would have a mind-blowing burger, but it wasn’t found here.

Great outdoor seating area overlooking the Washington Monument and a quick walk to the White House. Del Frisco’s provides a fantastic view and good food while still being casual. The cocktails are very tasty — their signature drink, the VIP, is perfect for spring/summer. The cheasesteak egg rolls are delicious and the shaved steak sandwhich is a must(comes with au jus sauce, and frites either in sweet potato or parmesan). Overall, a good dining experience.

My wife and I are in DC on this fine Spring day celebrating 5 wonderful years of marriage. We were hungry so we hopped on #OpenTable to find my wife a burger. Yup fellas, she’s that type of lady! So a photo of a beautiful double patty burger popped up and I was sold! We made reservations to Del Frisco’s Grille. Folks, you need to add this place to your list of «smack your mama» level restaurants! I had the burger that was photoed(the Grille Prime Cheeseburger) and my wife had the Lamb burger. You’ll not only want to smack your mama, you’ll probably smack any and everyone you bring to this place! We finished our meal with a couple glasses of champagne and a coconut cream pie. Once you taste this pie, you’ll smack yourself this time! This was a great experience. Wonderful service and delicious food. I highly recommend this place!

When I want a delicious, casual yet upscale dinner, I got to Del Frisco’s Grill on Pennsylvania Ave. My GOTO dish here are the Ahi Tuna Tacos. They are quite simply amazing. It’s got fresh tuna, a spicy mayo with guacamole in a hard taco shell. I’ve considered getting it for my entrée before just so I don’t have to split it with anyone haha. It’s 4 tacos per. I also prefer the burgers as well. They come on a buttered bun, 2 meat patties, lettuce, tomato, onion and their sloppy sauce. It’s similar to a big mac sauce which is good. Also, the burger come with french fries or sweet potato fries. Overall, this is a great spot for dinner and I recommend it. Make sure you make a reservation on OpenTable before you come!
