Very happy with lunch here. Busy place but food was good, fast and inexpensive while we were on the run sightseeing. Kids menu too. Perfect stop near renwick gallery and White House. Similar to panera bread.

This is NOT a good Cosi. I’ve been here a few times and every time it’s equally bad. The food isn’t prepared as well as other Cosis. Food that should be hot isn’t hot. This includes soups and sandwiches. The food preparation area looks messy. Worst of all, the bathrooms are absolutely filthy. It’s also confusing to figure out where to order and where to pay. The floor usually looks unswept. I wish I had something nice to say to temper this review but I can’t think of anything.

One of my favorite places for salads and soup(tomato basil is amazing!) Great seasonal offerings, especially the flavored lemonades in the summer. Dining in is an ok option, though the volume rises and it can be cramped with the amount of patrons for take out during the lunch time rush. There are a few tables available for outside dining with nicer weather. If you have a sweet tooth, they take care of that too(cookies, brownies, smoothies, etc.) or in a healthy way with my favorite chia shots(a pudding of sorts with chia seeds in 3 flavors– strawberry, nutella and cookies and cream?) Standard DC lunch: $ 10+

BIGMISTAKE! NEVEREATINGATCOSIAGAIN! I work at the Courts in DC, and have eaten at this location a number of times without incident. Well on Monday, Columbus Day, Oct. 12, 2015, a coworker made a food run during a court recess and I asked for a Cobb Salad. I only had time for a couple of bites before court restarted. I refrigerated the rest and ate it at home around 4ish. Well not even 3 hours later, FOODPOSIONING! Prior to the salad I had not eaten for 12 hours, so I know it was their salad. After doing some research between vomiting and diarrhea trips to the bathroom, I found that the chicken used for their salads is basically out of a can, which does not justify paying as much as I did for a salad. I have never gotten food poisoning before, and I have traveled the world, literally. But I got food poisoning from this awful place. Oh and 3 days later, I am stiff suffering! Big mistake!!! NEVERAGAIN! Friends are telling me I should seriously consider taking legal action especially since I have proof!

We got here for lunch and ordered two salads, both very fresh with tasty dressings. They both came with a piece of bread. Ordering and paying was blitz fast and there were enough empty spots to sit and eat at peace. The only annoying factor was the overly loud music at the background.

Visiting from California. Grabbed a quick bite before going to the Smithsonian Museum. The staff was friendly. Had my first«squargal» square bagel. They ran out of plain so I got the Parmesan with cream cheese. They also ran out of my husband’s first choice and got a sesame. Other than that the staff was friendly. The bagel and latte combo hit my morning hunger craving.

When I thought that I had a gluten intolerance, I was so upset that I would have to take Cosi’s flatbread out of my life(also I nearly died over never being able to eat the brown bread at Cheesecake Factory ever again – even though the rest of their menu is horrendous). But I don’t! Or at least I don’t think so. Hopefully. Cost is literally inches from my workplace; I go to get a quick lunch, usually a soup and salad, so I can tell my mom that I’m eating my vegetables. I’ve gone at random times – 12pm, 4pm, 6pm, but they are generally very quick and efficient with their ordering system. I’ve never encountered a problem. I like their Caesar salad dressing, so I usually get the Taste Two(haha like Panera) with the chicken Caesar salad and a soup. It’s a good place for a quick, easy lunch. Plus their flatbreads are amazing!

I love Cosi! From the various squagels to the sandwiches, everything is always fresh and delicious! I’m anxious to try a salad here next. This location has very friendly and professional staff. However, sometimes they run out of breakfast items before breakfast is over… bummer. Cosi also has a rewards program that gives you a free meal after you buy 10. Sounds like a lot, but Cosi is very wallet friendly! If you haven’t been here you should try it out!

Great place, caddy-cornered to the Newseum. My kids love it, so we stopped in — and were greeted by smiling faces, fast service and wonderful food. What’s not to like?

I eat here more than I should admit. Can’t help it though. The price is right and the Cosi Club is delicious! Big fan of the whole grain flatbread. I’ve had the flatbread pizza a time or two and it’s fantastic as well. The squagle is a must if you stop in for breakfast. They churn the customers out at a pretty quick pace so this is a good spot to grab a bite and get back to your day. Don’t forget to get the loyalty card as well. Every 10 visits earns you a free sandwich! Please don’t ask how many free meals I’ve earned…

I stumbled across this place while walking in DC and I’m glad I did! Their seasonal turkey and stuffing sandwich WAS great! I asked one the employees for lettuce and tomato and it set the sandwich off perfectly. I also ordered the tomato soup which warmed me up after braving the 40 degree weather. I wish there were a few Cosis in ATL!

Note: This is about this particular Cosi location, not Cosi in general. I like Cosi’s breakfast sandwiches and this one is close to my apartment, but unfortunately this one is just bad. The service is poor — their employees don’t even know their own menu and appear confused when you ask for an item off it and ask you to clarify multiple times — and today I went to get breakfast and they were simply out of eggs. I’d go to one of the other breakfast spots in the area to avoid a headache — There’s a good Bruegger’s Bagels over on 9th& E.

The mozzarella and tomato sandwich is amazing. I had the Adobo Lime Chicken Salad. Was very good. That was 2 weeks ago. I went today 1 Feb 2014 and it was closed.

Good food, but they were out of three different things we wanted. Food was a decent value and tasted great. Not enough seating area though and place was a bit dirty. Might come back, but likely look for other places.

So many choices that will satisfy everyone from the health conscious to the rice lover. Salads, sandwiches on FRESH bread, adobe bowls, and more. Just a couple blocks from the museum of art. HIGHLYRECOMMEND!

It was right around lunch time during the week and I walked into this Cosi with a very large order of sandwiches I needed. I’m talking 15 different sandwiches. I handed my list to the enthusiastic sandwich artist and then boom! Just at that moment the lunch rush hits. People start piling into this Cosi until before I knew it, I handed this huge order to the staff as they had 30 new customers walking in. No worries, this Cosi has it covered! My sandwiches were done within 20mins, and they had the entire lunch crowd under control. Big props! Took the lunch back to the Smithsonian video crew I was with and everyone was completely satisfied. You da best Cosi.

Delicious flatbreads! My mom and I stopped at this location while vacationing in DC(my first time) and stumbled across this great lunch stop during one of our many walks looking for local eateries. We were totally impressed by the prices, portions and service! How can we get Cosi in Dallas?! I had the tuna melt and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it!

Simple, pas cher mais pas super propre. Les pizzas sont justes correctes. Comme c’est un fast food, le service n’est pas condamnable. À noter, une seule salle de bain à partager entre femmes et hommes :(

Since my job assignment was transferred to the Penn Quarter area, this Cosi is now a lot closer than most places, so I decided to give it another try. The line system is still hella-confusing, but the crowds were a little less than usual this time around, so I didn’t mind navigating my way through their system. My flexibility for waiting times has also increased, so I’m not under as much pressure to get back right away. The food is up to par — there seem to be a lot more choices than the last time I was here, so that’s a plus. I’ll probably be back, since it’s more of an option than before, but I continue to wish that they had a better way of taking orders — the way they do things is still confusing and unnecessary. :p Tip For Diabetics: Cosi doesn’t, unfortunately, have many options for diabetics; most of their salads are all right, but you’re asking for trouble if you order any of the sandwiches. Their«signature house salad» is shockingly high in carbs — I’d avoid this if at all possible. Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor. YMMV. Seek medical advice and tailor my review to your situation. I simply provide opinion.

I had the Odomo Lime Chicken Salad for lunch today and while it was pricey at least it was pretty good and came with a large piece of bread. Had I not seen a little sign on the table I would have walked out and given this place 3 – 4 stars. There was a sign on the table for a pumpkin pie latte. I figured I’d have one so I go to the counter and order. After literally 5 mins of multiple employees huddling like NFL referees discussing a penalty, they inform me they don’t have that drink. Not that they are out, they don’t have it. If you don’t have it, why put the signs on every table? I order a caramel latte instead and after another 5 mins of waiting, I wish they had been out of that one too. It had a weird consistency and taste, sort of like they didn’t really know how to make it. I’ll go back here but won’t get anything coffee related anymore. I’ll stick to the sandwiches and salads.
