Want to know how little shame I have? I’ll tell you, right here, right now… …I order the bacon cheeseburger and seasoned fries from this place because they’re cheap and sometimes I come home a bit saucy. It all works out well for me. I get a side of crab rangoon because yesssssssssssss. Orders are prepared quickly, and if you ride your bike to pick up your order on a cold winter night your ride home you can smell the food out of your backpack. It’s like your Paul Revere riding through the night, except for yelling about how the British are coming you’re instead yelling«I’m a bit drunk and this food is going to be so damn amazing, SMELLITAS I FLYBYYOU» Note to Bloomingdale neighborhood folks: Don’t get in my way when I’m on a mission to stuff my face. I’ll be the jacka$$ on a green bike with a huge smile on my face.

I was really craving a burger and didn’t quite feel like putting on clothes to go someplace decent so I decided to finally try this little chinese spot. Its only about a two min walk from my house and my roommate eats there often so I thought«why not»? I’ll tell you why. I kept it simple and ordered a turkey burger and mozzarella sticks. I got home eager to bite into my first meal of the day and was immediately deterred. My burger was VERY gristley. It was actually quite disturbing. My mozzarella sticks were very greasy like to the point that they were almost limp and seasoned with what tasted a little like rosemary which I thought was weird. Not sure if I’ll ever be desperate enough to try this place again.

Ordered the veggie lo mein and veggie rolls with a side of Newports and I was rather pleased with the outcome. I was expecting the worst, but to my pleasant surprise, it was rather tasty. Satisfied two of my vices, and to that, I salute you, Chinese Dragon.

I have lived less than a block away from this restaurant for the past 3 years, and I’ve eaten here at least 5 times. The food is so subpar that literally whenever my eyes cross paths with Chinese Dragon I think about defacing their property and picketing. I wouldn’t actually do it of course, but that’s how offensive the food is. Dry, almost meatless chicken teriyaki skewers, undercooked and flavorless rice, nasty lo mein… terrible. Stay away. I scoff in disgust at this place.

If you like styrofoam-packed dinner served through a hole in a bullet-proof glass window, this is the place. No tables but you will have company while eating on the curb. Just join the crowd and leave your bones and other leftovers for the rats to carry away.

I ordered from this place for the first time since moving to Bloomingdale a year ago. The appearance has always deterred me from going. Also, getting bad Chinese takeout makes me sad. But on this night, I biked home in the cold rain and didn’t have any desire to cook or forage very far. So off I trotted one block down to order some Mongolian Ginger Beef. And you know what, it was actually not too bad. The portion was decently sized and made for two meals. Also found out that the owner was from my Chinese hometown(I actually think 90% of the Chinese restaurant owners in America are from there) and she seemed puzzled as to why I was ordering this food. Desperation, ma’am.

yikes! worst take-out in the city. don’t waste your time here. the egg drop soup did not have the normal consistency of egg drop soup – had water, yellow food color, and eggs – tasted weird. the egg rolls were tiny compared to other places. the beef with mixed veggies was bland and tasteless. the dumplings were tasteless and the sauce was watered-down. this place should be ashamed to call itself a chinese restaurant. prices were expensive considering the awful food.

tasty food — both american & chinese cuisine. fair prices. when you place an order over the phone everything takes«5 minute!» lol. friendly employees. well, the older lady at least. not much else to ask for in a carry-out within walking distance of your house. –frequent patron

Like many of the Chinese places in/around DC, the place doesn’t look very inviting. Most importantly, the food was good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but for DC, definitely good. Some of the reviews point to them selling cigarettes individually — not sure why this matters… and they’re dragging down the stars on this place when what matters is the food. Will go again!

Seriously guys??? Between the illegal sales of individual cigarettes to minors and the horrible food, it’s no wonder they feel the need to keep the plexi glass!

I like the fried chicken«wangs»(my term not theirs). Fries are also good. They are really fast too. Like someone said, when you call your order, they will say it will be ready in 510 minutes …

This is the BEST chinese take-out I’ve had south of the Mason-Dixon line. Admittedly, I’ve only had between 5 – 10 different places between DC and Bmore, but this is by far the best. Their steamed dumplings are mouth-watering, and the Mongolian Ginger Beef is to die for. The place is run by a family with the mother running the counter 90% of the time. They will tell you 5 – 10 minutes on the phone and it will take close to 20 at peak times. But beyond this, they are good, REAL cheap, and nice. If you get to know them, they tend to give you free drinks… not that I would know =P

Don’t be deterred by the outward appearance of this place. The food that they serve up is not only delicious, but inexpensive. It is not fancy by any means, but they have a great selection of foods. The chicken sandwich is great, as are the hamburgers and cheeseburgers. You get a sandwich, freshly fried fries and a soda for like $ 5. They also have great chinese take-out(of course). Their«diet food» selections are great. Its rice and steamed vegetables and your choice of meat with brown sauce. They have a wide selection of wings and sandwiches as well as salads. If you are looking for a solid place for carry out, this is it.

Chinese Dragon has a huge menu so I can’t speak to everything on it. So far I have tried the Chicken with broccoli, the Kung Pao chicken, and the General Tso’s chicken. The white chicken in the Chicken with broccoli and Kung Pao were fresh and tender. The chicken for the General Tso’s chicken was battered and fried. Oftentimes, when food is battered and fried it’s to cover up the quality of the meat, but I didn’t find that in this case. The chicken was lean and the batter wasn’t overdone. The thing I like the most about Chinese Dragon is that they don’t over saturate things in oil, in my mind that’s a huge plus. It’s a good choice when you don’t want to cook.

This place sells cigarettes individually, which is illegal, so I docked them a star. They also ALWAYS overcharge us — sometimes 40 cents, sometimes $ 1+. And then they get mad when you tell them the price is wrong. The beef/broccoli dish is plentiful and the broccoli is very yummy. You can tell the meat is very low quality, but I guess it’s just par for the takeout Chinese course. They don’t have eggrolls or spring rolls that don’t have either shrimp or pork, which is a bummer. Chicken fried rice is poor to middling. We only go here when we’re desperate. Really wish this neighborhood had a passable Chinese place!

Some of the best Chinese take out I’ve had in the city! That was a surprise, actually. I wasn’t expecting to find Chicken Curry made with fresh vegetables(and actual vegetables — it’s more than just onions like so many Chinese places). Highly recommended.

Chinese Dragon has some really good mumbo sauce! You can get a double cheeseburger, fries, and name-brand soda for about 5 bucks. This is a great asset to our neighborhood, as it is very affordable.

I went here for the first time tonight. It’s a neighborhood WDC Chinese kind of place. You can get Chinese, fried fish, subs — the works here. I got Lo-Mein and Chicken and mixed veg. It was good and the portion was huge, will be eating it for days.
