My boyfriend is Honduran and absolutely loves this little taste of home in the middle of Washington DC. The atmosphere is nothing to brag about(the food is served in the back portion of a deli) but the food 1000% makes up for it. We haven’t had a bad meal since our first visit(and we’ve come A LOT because I lived a few blocks away) and it’s decently priced. The owners(from San Pedro Sula) are absolutely wonderful and nice and can cook up a serious meal. I’ve since moved and really miss this place.

Tastes just like home. Handmade baleadas, none of that store-bought tortilla crap. My mom and sister even requested some for Mother’s Day. I had to drive it out to them 2 hours. The taquitos dorados are as I remember them too But a bit misleading. They’re HUGE! More tacotes than taquitos. Ooh, and green plantain tajadas – DAYUM! Behind the counter, friendly people teasing each other endlessly. Just the way it should be. The atmosphere is nothing to brag about, but that’s not the point. Just sit on that plastic chair in the back of a bodega, start chewing, and enjoy the best of Honduras.

Great gem for Honduran food! In a neighborhood full of pupusas and burritos, it’s nice to be able to get baleadas made by una catracha. I always get the baleadas, which are just like they make them in Honduras, with avocado, cream, eggs, and beans. Nice to come in and chat with the cook and other patrons, and very convenient location in Petworth.

I’m eating their fried chicken and this may be the most delicious food to ever cross my lips. Really hitting the spot. Some of the best food often comes from a deli at the back of a convenience store. Do not be deterred by the looks or smell of the place. The chicken is to die for.

Serves honduran food(baleadas), mexican food and american food(fried chicken, fried tilapia, steak and cheese, etc) Open 830am-11pm I went there for breakfast had a tasty sausage, egg and cheese sandwich for $ 2.89 — they also have a mini breakfast buffet if you want to stop in for eggs and potatoes. I like little cool places like this! I’ll be back
