I am debating 1 vs 2 stars, and am going to go with 1 because though the final product looked good, the service was frustrating, and the pricing was very high. I went there to frame a print I had purchased for my husband as a wedding present. I had a similar experience to another reviewer where I would show up and they would be unexpectedly closed and unavailable. When I was able to meet with the owner, my first interaction with her was great, I brought my print and spent 30 – 45 mins talking to her about what I wanted and what I didn’t want, looking at a variety of frames and selecting the perfect frame. I needed to confirm a detail, and she told me as long as I called back within a week I could place the order in time to receive it when it was needed. Due to unexpected illness, I wasn’t able to call her back right away, and she called prior to the deadline she had provided, leaving me an extremely rude voicemail actually threatening to sell my print since I had left it in her shop if I didn’t call back by the date she had provided, since I clearly wasn’t interested as I hadn’t called back right away. Due to my own poor timing and illness I was not able to find an alternative shop, so I proceeded with this purchase as I had really liked the product we had decided on despite the rude voicemail. A special detail I had ordered was an engraved plaquard with a quote and our wedding date, as this was my gift to my new husband. She and I spent the 30 – 45 minutes picking out a frame and discussing how my husband and I both dislike brass/gold, and I was looking for silver/pewter/grey instead. When the product came back, the engraved plaquard was brass. She offered no apology, and instead said I must not have been clear when I ordered, because she thought it looked nice. I didn’t have time to request a change because of the processing time, and ultimately, it is well done and looks very nice, but it was not what I asked for. My patience with her and the shop had run out though, and I didn’t want to deal with her anymore. Ultimately my husband loved the gift, and it looks great, but I would not take my business there again.

I’ve had two pieces framed here. It’s often a bit more than I want to spend, but the quality and care that the owner-framer puts into the finished product is excellent. She is patient in going through mats and frames and I enjoy my time in there. The space also serves as a gallery(for local artists, I assume). I am usually running off somewhere so haven’t taken the time to inspect the pieces more closely. The downside is that the hours of operation are not that dependable. I’ve visited twice on two separate days when the store was supposed to be open, but was closed without notice.
