I ate here far too often when I worked across the street at Metro Headquarters… Lot’s of pan handeling bums hanging out by the doorways… It’s ok, I guess… I mean aren’t all BK’s the same, pretty much?

As of 7÷1÷2014, this BK at G &5th Sts NW appears to be closed. I work nearby, and never had a great experience there — long waits, wrong orders, shady customers hanging around.

This one goes out to my OG interns, keeping it real in the DMV, TRUUU OK real short and sweet, it’s a Burger King. Get your food, eat it, feel bad about it, drink more of your soda to feel better, then try to not pass out while the 2−3PM afternoon tired wave hits you. The menu’s pretty nice, as it’s displayed on some quality TVs(but where the value menu at son?! College kid needs to eat cheap). Most of the staff are generally nice, but you might have slight issues communicating with them. BUT, hol’up hol’up hol’up, they got a WALK-THRUWINDOWWWW just swag it out on the window, get your grub, and hustle it on the mean streets of Chinatown. Though it’s getting hot out, don’t wanna be sweatin for some grease, namsayin?! Also, they got downstairs seating, surprise surprise!!!

Walk-through window: +1. People inside the burger king: –1. It’s a burger king, with a good location in Chinatown. Pretty simple.

Disclaimer: This rating is relative to other chain fast-food burger places, not compared to truly high-quality and delicious restaurants. How I summarize my relationship with this BK in one phrase: Walk-thru window. Now that I’m a young professional in DC, I don’t go out to the typical chain fast-food burger joints(McDonald’s, BK, Wendy’s). But occasionally I’ll have a mild case of the«drunchies» and want some greasy, unhealthy, feel-good(although not-good) food. So what do you do when it’s midnight, McDonald’s is closed, and you can’t go to a drive-thru because you shouldn’t be driving when you’ve had a few drinks? You go to the Burger King walk-thru. Yes, a walk-thru. This is the redeeming point of this BK – it’s why it gets 3 stars instead of 1 or 2. In the city, a walk-thru is genius. Okay, maybe it’s not all that novel, but it’s a good reason for me to want to go there. Walk-thru aside, this location is a typical BK with typical BK food. The only thing is, depending on who is taking your order, you might want to double-check your receipt and/or bag of food. One night, the boyfriend and I went to this BK on our way home from a bar. I ordered and received the correct food. But he ordered a «bacon burger» and got a «veggie burger» instead(the COMPLETE opposite of what he wanted). Unfortunately we didn’t check that we got what we ordered, and by the time we realized that he got a veggie burger(we are omnivores, not vegetarians), we were already home and didn’t want to walk all the way back to get the right thing. If this location didn’t have a walk-thru window, I probably wouldn’t frequent it. At all. But because there are those nights when you need your fast-food fix, and many places close early, this BK gets 3 stars for convenience. Just make sure to check that they got your order right.

The place is nice when there are not much people ordering. I love the burgers and the drinks. I really don’t have a problem when it comes to eating. Maybe the only thing that I can comment is that their restroom is … just check it out. Their maintenance should take some time in visiting the place as often as they can. It’s clean but kids going in and out totally messing out the place.

Make a mean Number 9 medium with a coke and they have a walk up window.

It’s a Burger King BUT… It’s in an old building… and it has a walk up window! How can you beat that? :D

Here is how you go from a generous 2-stars to an emphatic 1-star: regale your customers with an endless train of insane bums threatening to poop on the floor if they aren’t allowed to use the bathroom. What would«the King» think of such brazen acts of fecal defiance!?!

It’s been a long time since I have been to burger king but we went to grab a quick bite to eat before heading off to the movies. Usually on my walk home, there are always panhandlers outside but this time the coast was clear. the inside seems a little dirty and they had a hard time understanding what I was trying to order. I just wanted a plain fish sandwich with no lettuce or tarter sauce. The fish was definitely not as good as i remember. Better to stick with Mcdonald’s for a fish sandwich.

A walk-up window. Yup. You can walk up and order at the window. For a kick, I thought I’d try it. I ended up going inside. Can’t wait all day for fast food. The menu is the same. I don’t like the products(hesitant to call it food) as they always leave a petroleum after-taste… but if I were drunk enough, and could walk…

Well, if you’ve been to one Burger King, you’ve been to all of them, right? They have a veggie burger(which is more than I can say for the McDonalds I’ve seen in DC). And it’s a pretty decent veggie burger too, considering how cheap it is. It’s made of light brown stuff(not sure what it is) but it’s got chewy meaty texture and there are tiny bits of mushroom and carrots inside. I come here when I’m pressed for time and have like $ 2 in my pocket. ===== Newsflash 3⁄07: «Burger King Shifts Policy on Animals: In what animal welfare advocates are describing as a „historic advance,“ Burger King, the world’s second-largest hamburger chain, said yesterday that it would begin buying eggs and pork from suppliers that did not confine their animals in cages and crates…» This is good news!
