Dr E is awesome. I would gladly refer friends and family to see him. Hell, I would send my grandmother to him.(In fact, I think I will ’cause I’m pretty sure she has cataracts!) Caring, compassionate, wise, and funny. You can tell he loves what he does. If you need a refraction, go see the optometrist at the MFA, if you have more serious issue — corneal abrasions, dry eye, etc — go see Dr E, he’ll fix you up.

When I got Lasik, they told me to expect some side effects. Dry eyes — but contacts made my eyes dry anyway. Halos — just like magic mushrooms!(Disclaimer: this isn’t to dissuade anyone from Lasik. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done or had done to me.) A few years later, my dry eyes made me blink constantly, like a nervous debater. I’d try to be subtle by closing only one eye at a time, but then guys would think I was winking at them, see my ring, and either get creepy or creeped out. I went to Dr. Edgington simply because he takes Aetna, and his office is convenient for me. Everyone on the staff was helpful, friendly, and efficient. Within 5 minutes, I was in the exam room, and another 5 minutes later, I was being seen by a doctor. Then Dr. Edgington came in, did another thorough exam, and explained what exactly is going on, the potential causes, and my options. Now I’m on these drops he prescribed, and my eyes have gotten much better. I still find myself winking at strangers sometimes, but so far, never at Dr. Edgington, due to my concerns over the doctor-patient relationship.
