Boy Scout Monument

I came across this gem yesterday. It is pretty out there in terms of probably unintended irony and sheer ridiculousness.

D.C.‘s finest monument. Definitely thought-​provoking.
It features a boldly naked man standing behind a young boy clad in a boy scout uniform. Muscular Naked Man is confidently cradling a piece of wood and making a hand gesture and facial expression that say clearly, «What? What’re you looking at?»
This pair is accompanied by a woman holding aloft an erect golden stick. She seems to be as confused about it as I am.
Oh, and there’s a pool in front of it. I wondered if it was part of the monument. It is. According to Google, it «represents the honor of those children who joined the Boy Scouts of America.» Obviously.
Skip the White House. This is the one to see.
