This place is a RIPOFF! It’s a scam… I was duped into spending over 10K there and had to get EVERYTHING corrected/finished at a dermatologist-for a fraction of what I spent at Alase. I would never recommend Alase… go to a dermatologist-an actual doctor. They are legally permitted to use the higher, correct laser level the mere nurses at Alase are not allowed to use… until they’ve already wasted your time, money and patience doing sessions at an extremely low, unproductive and unsuccessful level.

I had several treatments here and experienced a lack of consistency in quality and experience among the technicians/nurses performing the laser hair removal procedure. I complained, so they offered to have the doctor perform my next two sessions(I was not credited/reimbursed for the sessions with the inexperienced nurses). Laser hair removal is expensive and, if not performed properly, can scar/discolor skin. I would not recommend Alase for this procedure. Find a location where the quality, consistency, and experience of the doctors/nurses/technicians is worth the expense and will keep you safe.

I had a two areas done at Alase, and while I found that they were priced competitively, in the end the care I received was spotty. I had a different tech every time, and every time the service was spotty. One tech was great, the next mediocre, etc. In the end, after 8 treatments, the removal rate was only about 85%, though I am in the«ideal» category for 95−100% hair removal. All said and done, I paid a couple thousand dollars for patches of no hair interspersed with patches of some hair. I would recommend shopping around, and considering other venues.

Waxing is so 20th century. Laser. It may be more expensive up front, but with the new technologies it’s much less painful than waxing and, after 5 or so treatments, it’s permanent. Alase is THE place to do it in Washington D.C. Period.
