The place looked clean and the pizza was OK, but don’t go here if you are looking for a quality slice of pizza or service. I ordered a slice of pizza and salad to go. The food was simply handed to me in a box, as the gentleman handed me the food, he asked if I had 5 cents for the bag… What? Who asks if you have 5 cents for a plastic bag? I get the whole bag ban thing, but if you are going to charge for a bag after the fact(after already paying) it would be a good idea to mention that before paying, better yet have a sign that states that you will be charge for a plastic bag. Additionally the attention to the customer was not good, I stood at the counter for a few minutes before anyone came out to help me…

Best pizza in DC. The food is great and the employees that work there do a great job keeping the line moving at busy times. Their regular New York style slices are great, as are their thicker slices(some might call them Chicago style; I wouldn’t, but whatever they’re officially called, they’re good).

I saw their special. $ 4.99 for a calzone and 32 oz drink. Great! I think I’ll get a pepperoni calzone… mmmmm drooling already. That’s what I thought, only to get to the counter and find out they only have spinach calzone(I guess that’s why they have the special). Womp womp womp. I walked away and looked for something else to eat. But I came back because that was a good deal and I really wanted a calzone. After biting into it, I knew I made a good decision!!. It was delicious and very cheesy, my favorite! My fiancée had the 2 slices of pepperoni & sausage and 32 oz drink special for $ 7. And he was happy. I took a bite of the thick, yes thick, slice. None of those flimsy and covered in oil type of deal here. We were both happy campers after having walked all through national mall.

This is located in the food court, and is darn good! The pizzas are large and you can buy by the slice much like Sbarro, except Sbarro stinks and this pizza is much, MUCH better. Today, I got a fold-y cheese pizza and boyfriend got a thicker pizza with sausage and pepperoni, and we both gobbled them down and thought they were amazing. I also liked the fact that they had extremely cheap beer that they served in huge portions. I got a 32oz beer for around $ 4. Nice!

CRUNCH!!! That’s the sound y’all be hearing as you nom down on the crust of their amazingly thin crusted pizzas. From the outside, Lee’s looks like your typical neighborhood bar… NAY! Its more an awesome pizzeria that happens to have a bar inside. Its a small place that is always crowded.

I’ve come here several times asking for penne with pesto and chicken — should be simple, right? So it would seem but every time I’ve been they haven’t had pesto(even though its still on their menu). Today after being turned away by the lady taking orders the man I presume owns the place asked me what I wanted and I told him I asked for penne pesto but they said there was none and he replied by saying they DO have it. Great. I ordered it and he went off to the back to have it made and in the meantime I asked if I could get grilled chicken with it(also on the menu) and I was told they have no chicken. So then I see they had chicken in their buffet but they told me I could only buy it by the pound for $ 5.49 as part of the buffet and instead they offered me meatballs. I waited a good 10 minutes and my friend had finished her slice of pizza in the mean time. Finally, they bring out my pasta and there is Parmesan cheese sprinkled all over it. I hate cheese on top of anything(yes, I know pesto is made from cheese but if I don’t have to see it, it doesn’t count) so I tell them no one asked if I wanted cheese on top which I didn’t. The man replied that I said nothing about it ahead of time and all their orders come with cheese already on it, I said I was not made aware of this and no one asked me if I wanted the cheese. He reluctantly remade the pasta instead of letting me just get something from the buffet because I had a feeling the pasta wouldn’t be good. Anyhow, I got the pasta in the end and the meatballs were completely flavorless and colorless. They looked as if they had just been taken out of the freezer and warmed up right there. Both the pasta and pesto tasted dry, flavorless, and as if they came out of a microwave. In the end, I was very disappointed and will NOT be ordering from this place again though I did appreciate them making half an attempt to appease me.
