I stopped in to take a chance. The woman working there was very nice. The décor was nothing special, a little café? I ordered Shrimp Scampi. I felt it was very mediocre with a handful of shrimp and at $ 22.00WAY overpriced. I hadn’t noticed the price when I ordered and expected around 14 or 14 for a takeout dinner in Styrofoam. Nah…

Stopped for dinner on a very cold night so there very very few people there. The waitress Angela, was very attentive and friendly. The food is very good. We had veal Parmesan and eggplant appetizer which was tasty and big portion. The pizzas looked good too. Good sandwich choices and soups. Will be back

Been here a few times, food is good but a little disappointed when the charge you for every soda you order. I know it sounds cheesy but that alone makes me not want to go back there. There are way to many other Italian restaurants in the area that offer just as good food or better!

The prices were very high for the size of the dishes. The sangria was poorly made and that too overpriced. The owner was drinking wine and very loud and rude.

This restaurant was amazing. The food, staff and atmosphere is so welcoming and comforting. I couldn’t believe how authentic the food was. Coming back definitely !

I thought this place was awesome. I thought the waitress was this cool mix of rough-around-the-edges and pleasant. I’m half Italian and from NYC, so I grew up around that vibe — it’s very comfortable to me. My grandmother made the best eggplant parm I’ve ever had, but Ripe Tomato’s is a close second. Wow. 9.9 out of 10 for that. Quite honestly, I’m shocked people gave them low ratings, because everyone in our party loved their food. Going back next time we’re in the area.

The food was great, wait staff was friendly and attentive, and it was all around a great time. Strongly recommend.

We were looking forward to trying a local home style restaurant, but were deeply disappointed. We started with the ‘home made’ meatballs, which was mediocre at best, several of us got chicken dishes that weren’t chicken cutlets, but instead chicken tenderloins with minimal flavor. Two of us took 1 or 2 bites of our meal and stopped eating. The waitress came by, instead of doing a table check, she proceeded to ‘don’t you just love the food’. If she had actually asked instead, she would have noticed that we didn’t. Also, it took 57 minutes from the time we ordered our meals till when they came out. Wouldn’t recommend this place anyone else.

Wanted to try this cozy little corner spot in Warwick based on all the glowing Unilocal reviews. I wanted to like this place, I really did. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing based on any expectations. I got chicken parm and ravioli. The waitress made a point that everything was home made, which sounds great. Unfortunately, it must be a home where the mom isn’t a very good cook. The chicken was over fried and chewy, it got stuck in my teeth over and over. The sauce was watery and flavorless. Like red water with a few tomato chunks in it. The cheese, surprisingly was not fully melted, strange considering the chicken’s condition. The ravioli was not boiled properly, so it was falling apart in the middle, while undercooked on the edges. It was edible and would have been OK with a great sauce. However, it was definitely lacking. It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever had, but well below average for many comparable places nearby. I really wanted to love it. I’m sorry it wasn’t better.

Friendly staff and I think owners, but the food was just terrible! Four glasses of wine and two meals cost $ 90 with tip. The food was beyond bad. With all the reviews at 4−5-star ratings we thought for sure we found a winner. Apparently these folks do not know enough about quality food.

Dats Italian(squeezing cheeks.) My pal and I stopped by this little place a few weeks back on a Monday night. I told him I had to have Italian food before leaving for the west coast. I was very impressed with the Chicken Parmesan with Cheese Ravioli. Fast service as well. My friend returned the other night to get the same thing because he saw how good it looked. The parking is minimal but other than that it’s a place I would definitely check out in your travels for a great dining experience.

I was traveling through and decided to try this based on the reviews. I was not disappointed! The restaurant itself is the definition of quaint. It is small, but very comfortable. It was nearly empty when I went in, which had me a little worried for 7:00 on a Wednesday night, but my concerns were unfounded. I opted for the Ceaser salad and the Italian Meat Pizza. The salad came on a plate the size of a hubcap. It was very fresh and well seasoned. The pizza, sold as an individual size, could easily feed two people. I was unable to finish it and unfortunately couldn’t take any leftovers. However, it was piping hot when it arrived at my table and was my idea of a great pizza. Thin, crunchy crust with the perfect amount of sauce and really fresh ingredients. My only complaint is that they don’t serve ice tea. I don’t drink soda, so that limited my options, but a cold Sam Adams did the trick!

While shopping on bald hill… And before trader joes… We needed a bite to eat. I Unilocaled Italian food, current location. As I am not a fan of chain restaurants, the ripe tomato seemed a perfect detour for lunch. The house infused oil with garlic and rosemary with warm bread was a nice start. I ordered eggplant parm as an app with a house salad if goat cheese and apricots. The salad was huge! Plenty for two people. The eggplant parm was delicious, even with the skin on. He ordered chicken Marsala and said it was good and he would order it again. Oh, yeah, I forgot the home made red sangria with thin slices of apples to nibble on. All, in all, a pleasant lunch experience. Now to more shopping …

Tuesday night, 7:45p. Just a few patrons in the very quaint, modestly decorated restaurant. Sat at the bar and had great conversations with the waitress Donna. Really a pleasant place to visit. Calamari was fresh and very tasty with the sun dried tomatoes. I like it just a bit more done but now I realize that is because I have probably not had calamari quite this fresh before. A great choice of or the appetizer. The Piccini Chianti was rally mellow and a great recommendation. I was not that hungry so the waitress suggested a side portion of pasta with a meatball and Fra Diavalo. Pasta was good. Sauce was unbelievable and fresh. Really enjoyed the sauce. The meatball was lean and tasty. Without a doubt I will be back. Highly recommended. Thanks to the helpers for leading me once again to a great suggestion in my travels.

I’ve been here more than a dozen times since they opened, and I make it a point to get something new each time. Everything I’ve had has been fantastic, too. The pizzas are individual-sized, and they are pretty generous size, really could feed two people. Grilled, crispy crust, loaded with toppings. Awesome. The sandwiches are all realy good, and have homemade fries with them. Cajun chicken is my personal favorite, but I haven’t had a sandwich I didn’t love. I got the chicken parmesan dinner with pasta last week, and it was great. Huge portion of chicken over pasta, nice and tender chicken. Delicious! I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The place is always nice and clean, and the owners and the wait staff are super friendly.
