The Battery Shop

I have been taking my car to dealership for service for years. I know I pay more, but my expectation is that I am getting it done right. I have recently moved to Coventry RI and have quickly learned the local Honda Dealer knowingly overcharges (and, in fact, ended up recently rebating some labor costs when the service manager was unable to explain what was done to warrant the 4 hours of labor that were charged during a recent diagnosis). That was the end of my relationship with this dealer.
Inquiring locally about quality service shops, I was directed to the Battery Shop multiple times. I read the online reviews and was a bit concerned with some of the negative comments, but having used the shop, want to help offset the negatives because my experience was very positive.
The high notes:
Service — Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. My questions and follow up questions were answered happily, thoroughly and non-​begrudgingly.
Pricing — Estimates came in right in line with end result. Prices extremely reasonable compared to dealer (ie. dealer quote for timing belt replace $ 1250; battery shop rate for same service (including water pump, etc $ 750.)
No Up-​sell — Asked them to check clunk in front suspension, they could have jumped on opportunity to sell me work, but checked it out as well as drove the car to hear noise and suggested that there were no critical issues.
I will update if there are concerns, but I really have nothing bad to say and am comfortable recommending the shop.

I went here for a state inspection on my truck, synthetic blend oil change and gave them full permission to replace my brakes, rotors and several other pricey items, if it were needed. The called me and told me I did not need any of the items on my list. I was blown away with their honesty. They provided excellent, fast service at a more than reasonable price! I have always gone there for oil changes and they are lowest price in town and the fastest. They treat you like family and will not spend your money like other shops. I have since recommended several people to have their work done there and they were also blown away with the service and price. They keep your car clean too, just a great place to get all your auto work done with true peace of mind and they don’t empty your purse! Thank you for your trusted work Post Road Battery shop. I will keep coming back and continue to recommend you to anyone that needs auto service!

When you want good work at a fair price try these guys out. They don’t seem to advertise or need to but they have a huge shop and get work done at a great speed and price.

Battery Shop has been my family’s go to spot for car repairs for years! It is a family run business and they treat you like one of their own! Honest, reasonable, and quick turn around with repairs! Can’t ask for more than that!
