Sweetzs is a ice cream and candy shop located right in Conimicut Village that has a great selection of ice cream, frozen yogurt and milk shake like things. Also huge banana splits and other sundaes. The woman who usually works there is great, she’ll make just about any kind of sundae you want with just about anything on it. The only thing constant is that it will be huge. They don’t list the calories, which is definitely a good thing.
Sweetzs also has a wall full of penny candies. Of course the candy costs more than a penny now but they always have some very cool old fashion teeth rotters like pixie dust, sweet tarts and gummy bears.
The store has a counter and a few tables located inside the store which are fortunately spaced far apart so you have room to maneuver. Also some nice tables outside on the patio. The only negative is that Sweetzs gets extremely crowded at times with the local hyperactive kids trying to get their sugar rush.
