Once Upon A Child

I used to love coming to this store when our daughter was first born. I always would find cute things for her at reasonable prices and would visit every few weeks. However, I have had a few bad experiences over the past 6 months that make me not want to visit anymore.
1. I had bought a Halloween costume in October and got it home to realize that it was broken. I returned it the following week (before Halloween, with a receipt) and the staff hassled me about it saying that it was a final sale item. I only wanted an exchange, not a refund, and eventually was able to swap it out after speaking with several staff members.
2. I visited the store in Jan and Feb looking for some more winter clothes for our daughter, who had outgrown all of her current ones. I entered the store only to find a very sparse selection of jeans in her size and all short sleeve/​summer dresses. I left empty handed and disappointed. After all, it was still winter and cold outside, I was not looking for summer clothes just yet.
3. I recently tried to consign with the store. We are moving and have quite a bit of baby things that we no longer need. I enter the store and there is a sign on the door saying that they are not taking any sells. I asked anyway, since we had make the trip over the store and hauled all of our things with us. The sign was incorrect and they were taking sales. However, they would not accept any of our clothing since they were not in bins. We had them neatly folded in 2 paper bags. So I asked about the stroller we had with us and we signed in to sell it. The staff member told us it would be a half hour for them to assess it since someone was in front of us. I was hoping they would have just looked at it when we brought it in, since it was just one item, but I understand and we left to run another errand. We weren’t even out of the parking lot and I received a text that it was ready to be picked up. So we had to immediately turn around only to find out that they wouldn’t accept it. Why couldn’t they take 2 minutes to tell that when we were standing there? This was very frustrating. Every time we go in, the rules seem to change.
After these experiences, we will not be visiting this store again to purchase or sell items.

This is the best used clothing and toy store that I have ever seen for infants and kids. Shop here first. The clothing is in excellent condition and the brand names are great! Many times I am able to get clothes news with the tags on them.

This is quite possibly my new favorite store. I can’t believe the level of quality, cleanliness, and price at this consignment shop. I bought a few onesies that were five for $ 5! This even included sports onesies. There are clothes ranging from baby to young child, larger baby items like strollers and playpens, toys and books, and a whole wall of shoes. The associates working there are super nice and helpful. I’m so excited to have found this place!
